I actually think the package management system + apt-get is easier than downloading setup programs and then installing them. Personally, I'm running a LAMP server on Ubuntu 10.10 for my school. I have a dynamic external IP though, so I had to get a dynamic DNS. But it's all free!

I played it at my friend's house today.. single player only. But it was still amazing, I'm going to pick it up very soon.

I REALLY recommend this. It's slightly over your budget, but it's definitely worth the money. EDIT: It looks like everyone else really recommends it too.. haha.

I honestly don't see why he is continually muted for using his accent. I obviously understand him being muted if he was mic spamming, but there is no other logical reason to mute him just because he is speaking with an exaggerated middle eastern accent. He isn't racist (he himself is middle eastern), and although some find it annoying, I know the majority of the community finds it funny and enjoys having them around. You can make the claim that other, usually younger, community members have annoying voices, but I don't see anyone randomly muting them just for talking. By speaking in his accent without spamming, he is breaking no rules and shouldn't be muted. Thoughts?

Where's the question mark at the end of your sentence? I win hahaha. Anyway, the only way to add captions without using annotations (that takes forever) is by doing them in some obscure format on some obscure program. Naw thanks. Anyone that wants to add annotations is free to do so though, message me and I'll send you a linl to do it.

Suggestion: If you guys want more realistic maps, why not decompile classic ones like Razor and simply remove the teleporters and unnatural advantages for the T's? Then just add "hard" or something similar to the end of the map name, give the original author credit, and have fun. I could do that in like 5 minutes if you guys wanted.

Yay! And I have no idea.. it was hard to keep track of who was on considering voice chat is hidden for half of the people and the server kept crashing.

I wonder if I recorded any of the ones Boxcar did.. I'll upload them if I did.

This happens to me frequently when I'm working on maps. I would definitely do what the poster above me suggested and just copy smaller pieces at a time. And in the future, I would just try to do everything in one VMF file, even if it's a pain in the ass.

It's actually a universal problem, not just the SG servers are experiencing this. I was playing cs_office on my server earlier and one of the ragdolls clipped into the ceiling. Awesome update. >.

I'm going to make these into a Youtube video I think. And I still want to see my friend's reaction to the 100 or so texts and voicemails we left her about pork chop sandwiches. xD
