It's only sv_fricion 0? I dont think it would be a good idea to run a server thats maint focus is sv_friction 0. You pretty much need to use a M3 shotgun for kills.

Just a quick one to clear things up. We will NOT be accepting 'donated servers' (with the exception of the WCS one that ipuke has paid for). The con's out weigh the pro's and it just becomes a pain for the following reasons; Individuals who donate a server will always expect special treatment back, which is not fair on those who cant afford to donate. Servers should be a community wide decision and not just a decision made by one person. Afterall the community is here to serve you guys. Servers will start to become scattered around different hosts which isnt desireable for both you guys (different pings) and the AO+ (becomes a pain to keep track of different logins and going to different places for maintanance/reboots). We have a dedicated server already, maybe could squeeze 1 more low intensive server on there at the moment. Costs us nothing extra to open up another on that box. The only good side to the donated server is we have another server to play on right? But there are too many downsides to this as im sure you guys would agree. So yeah, if you want to make a donation towards the server costs then thats great, but we wont be accepting payments to open up a specific server (with the exception of WCS, as this would have been far too CPU intensive for the dedicated to handle along with 7 other servers on there).

Okay guys a lot of events have unfolded over the past few days. Unless you've been living under a rock you obviously know that I'm talking about the proposed sale of SteamGamers to Amit & Charles. First of all, SteamGamers is not going to die. People need to calm down, a community of 300+ forum users/day with 10 or so servers that regularly fill up on a daily basis CANT just dissapear overnight. Sure at this moment in time things are in a turmoil state, which is why everyone needs to get a grip, calm down and pull together collectively as a community. We (the AO's + BD's) will be having ongoing discussions with Amit & Charles to see what can be done about SG's future. The AO's and BD's only want the best for the community and its members and this is what we will be trying to ensure over the coming days. If you take in anything over the past few days of what has gone on, take in this following line. SteamGamers is not going to die, stability is around the corner and we need everyone to keep cool and remain level headed. Don't jump the gun, we wont let this place go down. On a side note we will be holding a community wide ventrilo meeting Tonight, Saturday and Sunday (25th, 26th & 27th). Tonight - 8PM EST Saturday 26th - 8PM EST Sunday 27th - 7PM GMT So stay tuned, go shoot the shit on the servers and we will update the entire community when the situation develops. - The Board & Administrators.

Assuming your going to allow at least a 1 month overlap of buying the new servers to cancelling the current ones to provide enough time for the playerbase to follow the IP changes to the servers?

I just hope that one day I dont login to find all my access removed and theres nothing that I can do to get it back. After putting alot of time and effort into the community over the past 3-4 years then that would be a sad day.
