There is already things in the server that say "visit steam-gamers.net". You're trying to put too much effort into a small part of the problem at hand. Plenty of people vote on polls that are important and in one of the main sections that get read a lot. Spamming servers about a poll is excessive. At least half the people on MG either don't have a forum account, or rarely use it. Same goes for PB and others. A LOT of people on the forums are people who have been here for a long time, and really only sit on the forums because the servers are boring or they are busy. It makes the most sense to get the opinions of those on the forums, as they are the ones that will probably play the new servers.

Sounds like a lot of effort to differentiate between people who would vote vs the whole. Considering most of the people that would vote on a forum poll are the active ones. And we already spend time trying to get people on the forums, which should directly correlate to people voting.

Almost every college kid has 2 weeks to a month off from ~Dec 15 to January XX. At least around here, assuming its the same elsewhere?
