  1. Oh god, I was there for that. Hilarious shit. That was a good voice changer though. x.x
  2. Cooper test

I have to do this run this Tuesday. ;_; Apparently, if anyone doesn't get at least the same score they did last time they did the run, they fail gym (which correlates to no graduation for this senior). Then again, my school loves scare-tactics. I'm too lazy and tired to do the math, but i get around 16.5 laps, where 12 laps is a mile. Terrible compared to almost everyone else. My endurance is literally shit.
  3. Yeah, it's sometimes not worth upgrading just because of the unfamiliar interface.
  4. I'm aware its a month old, but I didn't find any threads on this. Also, it's new to me, and playing around with it was fun. =P
  5. New feature in Photoshop CS5: Content-Aware Fill. Basically, it quickly and usually painlessly removes unwanted artifacts in an image. This includes lens flare, hair in old film negatives, and even entire objects you don't want. Go here to see exactly what it does. (It literally takes about 30 seconds to go from the before to the after image.) Accompanying videos: Here is another one. I shat bricks at 3:16 Of course, it's sometimes fairly easy to see the repeating pattern, especially with the removal of giant objects, since all this does is searches for matching patches elsewhere in the image, and fills it in. But this really speeds up the process.

  7. Why did you have the urge to test a PSU that was smoking? o.o At least you did that without anything connected. It's rare for any PSU to go in such a dramatic fashion, especially new ones.
  8. I think a map based on Chernobyl would be better if the explosion was either in the middle or end of the map. So then, the humans would have to activate emergency switches to help buy time, or activate emergency cooling measures, etc. (It certainly gives a basis for killing off people who failed to escape, and finishing off zombies.)
  9. Sorry guys, I guess I can't provide more lulz for you anymore.
  10. I asked my friend what the time was while he was holding a glass of milk. Sometimes, simple is good.
  11. Terrible lag

It could be possible your computer is overheating, which would explain why this is happening suddenly. Dust out the inside of your computer if you haven't in a while. (Dusting it can't really do any harm.) To get drivers, just go to the website of your video card manufacturer, and a drivers/downloads link should be somewhere on their front page. Then, just find your own series/card and download the appropriate drivers. However, do post what video card you have (and other specs), since some nVidia drivers don't work with CSS (for whatever reason).
  12. So, uh, garfieldh.com?
  13. I'm using Turtle Beach surround sound (lol) headphones. (Here.) I got them for $50 or so when they were on sale. Surround sound isn't the best quality (obviously) but not crap. I'm certainly not disappointed. I really love the mic though. I haven't explored much in the way of headsets though, just find one that gets good reviews and has the features you want.
  14. All I'm going to say is CSS != MW2. /cssVSmw2
  15. It doesn't modify any code or change any memory during execution. All it does is change a shortcut inside your CSS folder to point toward the sound file you want to play, and use commands built into the Source engine.
  16. Steam Problems

Ok, I found that some people had this problem if they had too many friends/groups. How many do you have? If you have a very high amount (say over 100 or 150 or so), try deleting some. (The other user who had this problem had over 200 friends and 200 groups...)
  17. Steam Problems

Well, I'll try and look around Google for possible solutions. But I suggest you do the same. It's much faster to go through solutions and try them out on your own computer than having others tell you what to do, since you'll have to report back and wait for a reply. Of course, if you found a solution to a problem via Google, but don't know how to execute it, we'll be glad to help. I'll post back if I find a possible solution.
  18. Pro tip: turn up letter repeating rate.
  19. Steam Problems

Well, the only question I can think of which will lead us anywhere at this point is Do you have Battlefield BC2 installed on both computers? Honestly, if you don't have it installed, I don't know what to say. To have an odd problem occur on both computers, which have little in common, and have the problem occur on two individual accounts... You can search Google or the steam forums to see if anyone else has the same issue you're having (like crazy_tim has on your behalf), because I doubt this will have an easy solution.
  20. First off, a quick look through my css folder showed no signs of the files being messed with. None of my binds have been changed. (Unless there is some other folder I'm unaware of where scripts can be stored. I looked in "cstrike".) @DarkNightz: 1. This might be a problem. I'll use that command and see if it helps. On a side note, I'm also running dual-screens (although while I'm playing there is usually nothing particular happening on the second screen), so I'll disable it and see if that helps as well. 2. I cleaned it recently, and this wouldn't explain how restarting the game makes everything fine again. 3. No SLI. 4. Updated, thanks to Pepper reminding me. =D I have yet to see if this will improve performance or fix the problem. 5. I'll try, but then again it worked fine before. I doubt this is a problem so I'll mess with it later. 6. No recent addons or changes to configuration, besides adding a few buy binds to give me a head start in zombie escape. (I added these after the problem started occurring, so they are not the cause.) The problem doesn't occur often enough to warrant a reinstall. But if it gets worse, that will definitely be happening. UPDATE: New drivers caused CSS to crash on startup. Rolled back drivers, works fine again.
  21. So, some lua virus? I'll double check, since I've had one once before which f***ed up all my binds, although I don't recall joining any suspicious servers.
  22. Steam Problems

If I'm reading this correctly, you're saying that your friends list crashes on ANY computer? On the computers that your friends list does crash, can you get a friend to log in and tell us if it crashes for him as well? Are you running the same antivirus/firewall software on both computers? My first suggestion would normally be to reinstall steam. I somehow doubt it will fix your problem, but you should still reinstall and tell us if the problem persists.
  23. Thanks for reminding me. I doubt it's because of drivers though because I never had this problem before.
