cant you use ur tv? just to make sure nothing is wrong with ur video card. some tv's have vga ports. or connect a laptop to your montior and see if that works. i had the same problem as you and it was actaully my motherboard was defective. all else fails. buy a new monitor if it still dont work, you can return it.
