Hey everyone,

We want to give you all a quick community update, as it's been a while since we've addressed things. Let's start with the servers, specifically how we're using the space we have on our box. As I'm sure some of you noticed already, we've scrapped a number of servers. I'm going to give you specifics as to what was removed and a small briefing as to why.

- CS:GO TTT
- CS:GO TTT Test
- CS:GO Scrim
- CS:GO 1v1
- TF2 Casual Alternative
- SCP
- TeamSpeak

So any of the stuff that was already released and established we've now scrapped because we felt as though we've exhausted all efforts and don't see a future for them. Namely CS:GO TTT, Scrim, TF2, and SCP. These servers could potentially return in the future, but as it stands we think our time and energy is better spent elsewhere. TeamSpeak is also gone, its resurrection was nice to see but its usefulness was short lived. As for 1v1, we just had to scrap it because it was so old and files were very messy, however that's being rebuilt. This frees up a hell of a lot of space for us to use, and we'll cover how we're using that.

On that note, onto our future plans, but first to debrief on how our other servers are doing. We've been seeing a lot of success with some of them - namely Surf, Bhop, Retakes, and GMod TTT. It's fantastic to see, as Surf has been hitting insane numbers for weeks now, Bhop has been averaging some pretty decent numbers (10-15, I'd say), both Retakes servers have been frequently filling up, and thanks to @Elfbarf, @Huwajux and the rest of our staff, GMod TTT has risen quite high in the rankings. We want to expand on this success, and we believe the road to doing so is in movement / competitive servers.

Currently in development, we have 1v1, AWP DM, and KZ. We believe these are extremely promising projects, with all three having a pretty established market of players to appeal to. There may be more projects following quickly behind these three, and we're always open to suggestions on what those should be. Combat Surf is a possibility that was explored, for instance. We're also not opposed to suggestions for other games, however CS:GO seems to be kicking into gear and with CS2 quickly on the way, we're probably looking to stick to it. It's safe to say all of this success may become even more fruitful once CS2 releases which is something to look forward to for sure.

Otherwise, things are all looking up for the most part. We have some more things on the horizon regarding Discord, the forums are still in a decent state especially considering community forums are being effectively replaced by Discord altogether.. so we really don't have any concerns about anything. We'd like to start aiming to turn players into supporters, though money is still not a concern as @Caution is continuing to finance SG out of pocket. There's some things we have in mind for that though, and we'll most likely start using Discord's built in donation system once that releases to make it that much easier.

On that same note, and just to give some shoutouts in general: thank you to @BoTo for implementing a new command on the servers (!sgperks), that's a considerably helpful addition so that players can see what it is they'll get by donating. And as always, a huge thank you to @Nishok for helping take down all of the servers and putting up our 3 new servers so that development can begin. And thank you to our entire server management team for running our current servers and developing our new ones, and our admins for keeping the servers clean as always. The Board is very happy with the state of our staff team in addition to everything else.

Expect these new servers within the next week or two, as well as some other announcements and developments. We'll try to aim to have a community meeting to supplement whatever we end up putting into announcements but everything will be put into posts regardless of whether or not we get that scheduled. Thank you all for the support as always!

With that, here's an updated list of our server management roster. We know it might be a little confusing to understand who manages what currently, and while we look to rectify that in terms of where they're listed, here's the new list.
