someone in chatbox yesterday said arma 2 is free, surely this isn't true, but is there some other kind of free arma?

I'm up for it, pretty good at ArmA II and I usually end up at the top of the scoreboard. I used to play with a squad that would play through missions with realism to it, I mean up to 30 people answering to orders and positioning themselves in unknown sects in realtime, a much different experience than regular online play.

I do believe that was me.

Yes they made the first Arma 2 Free to play, but without mod support and no singleplayer.

Other then that, you still got a awesome multiplayer game left

Not sure if they released it on steam yet(Was told you have to download the demo from Arma 2 Store, to get the F2P)

Or else google Arma 2 Free and go to their website, and get your code to play.

We're going to have a test run soon within a couple of days, to make sure everyone got their addons/islands installed correctly. As reminder the following files need to be installed:

 

- ACE 1.10: ACE 1.10 - ACE Wagn - Advanced Combat Environment (Use the download links from Multiupload to not get a mismatch version, and get @CBA only, DON'T install @CBA_OA.)

- Namalsk Island: Armaholic - Islands - Namalsk

- Everon Island: Armaholic - Islands - Everon

 

If you need any help installing any of those, feel free to contact me and I'll be able to help you through teamviewer.
