Not to mention it's only through certain forms of contact which is completely preventable in a way, it would most likely just go into a "SARs" situation where everyone avoids doing things with certain people for awhile and wear gloves to avoid skin contact where possible. I have high doubts that it will "wipe out civilization" like people are hyping it up to be. Simply because containing it, while difficult, is not impossible. Link to comment

The total amount of deaths (heard this all on the news yesterday) is at 4,000 deaths in total by Ebola. That's minimal compared to the countless other diseases spread across the globe.
