No..seriously that test/riddle was engineered to determine whether a patient has psychopathic tendencies and almost all of the people with past history on murder etc. answered correctly where as normal people couldn't figure out the reason :O Link to comment

Take the 3l and fill it up, then poor it into the 5l so the 5l now has 3l, then you fill the 3l again and fill the 5l the rest of the way leaving 1l in the 3l container. Link to comment
