idk then man. if you wanted to upgrade to a new cpu, you'd have tou pgrade a lot of stuff. your ram, your mobo, your cpu. also the hdd you lniked is SATA 3, but your mobo doesn't support that so I'm just going to assume you meant SATA 2 but to put into perspective this is your CPU vs the i5-2500k (overclockable sandy bridge quad core). the i5-2500k is pretty much "the best bang for your buck" in the sandy bridge line. anyway: it's a big jump, but the cost of upgrading your computer could very well be $350~ for the CPU, Mobo, and ram also what's your GPU?

tf2 is ruined now. vac takes like a week to ban hackers so people basically are going to get away with hacking for a week, get banned, make a new account, rinse and repeat. also tf2 has been awful for the past 2 years now anyway.

like i said though, make sure everything is compatible. What's your current spec stuff right now? ie what's your ram, hdd, etc. chances are your heatsink/cpufan might not be compatible either.

if you're willing- wait until Q3 of this year for AMD's new Bulldozer line, or get a Sandy Bridge CPU (hella fast) youd have to buy a new motherboard obviously, and possibly ram if you're still using DDR2, but Sandy Bridge has AMAZING improvements if you're willing to drop the extra $$$ Newegg.com - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9505 Yorkfield 2.83GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80580Q9505 this would work fine, really. but like i said, there's really no reason to rebuy an outdated socket. you're setting yourself up for disaster.
