the day compatibility mode actually works is a quiet day in hell. as for xp mode have you ever used it? slow as shit compared to the normal XP. As for dualbooting its pretty fuckin useful, if one OS craps out, you got the other one.

I have a 8800GT and I run dual monitors just fine.

yeah but itd be a win-win situation for a SSD, the mobo would support it and itd be faster. the 32gb ssd would host your windows folder, allowing you to boot windows half the time than any sata 2/3 hdd and SSD will probably be the last form of hard drive capacity up until the QUANTUM COMPUTER!

i can run counter-strike source pretty goddamn good in linux mint 7 with wine, also you can use a pretty motherfuckin decent virtual emulator to emulate XP and play. I've heard good things about Cedega for Mac also.

i think the problem with the shop not having success in the first place was not because people werent willing to buy, just that who the fuck wants to buy a t-shirt saying "SteamGamers", i dont mean to hate on pride or shit like that. i7s are better than phenom 2's iirc as for the cpu itself, i run a q6600 2.40ghz (the cpu isnt made anymore either :3) and i run everything perfectly fine, its mostly my gpu thats bottlenecking my gaming experience.

im using a nvidia card atm but once i need to upgrade im probably gonna switch to ATI.
