For the external SSD don't buy an external SSD. Buy a normal SATA SSD and buy an enclosure for it. The reason they broke is because almost anything marketed as a "gaming headset" sold by a game peripheral company is junk. I suggest you start looking a professional audio companies. If you don't need the mic there are loads of options. If you do, there are still many options but to get anything of quality you will need to spend a fair amount more money. Ideally get something intended for broadcast use but those can get pricey fast. Okay so it looks like you have at least one audio out may be two. That means you can hook it up to some sort of external headphone amp. If you already have an stereo/AV receiver laying around then you could use that.

Easy enough. Use the line out from your TV. You can hook that to any number of devices with headphone out. I can't recommend anything in particular without knowing any more about your TV.
