JB Floor is Lava
TheZZL posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
Since this thread is hard to understand, here's it simplified: Am I allowed to order the T's, "Floor is Lava, 5.. 4... 3... 2... 1..." and then warning shot any T's still on the floor after I finish counting down? https://youtu.be/DrSCI0Imtvg?t=13 Skip to 0:13 -
JB Stop the confusing rules
Error. posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
Can we just stop with the confusing orders. It’s quiet obvious that people are saying them to make confusion. I haven’t played in months but I know this was a problem then and telling by the JB threads being posted, it’s still a problem. JB used to be easy to play and easy to start playing because people gave reasonable orders, now it seems the opposite. From when I played, new players would join then some would leave after 3 rounds because of the unreasonable orders and just dying because they don’t understand something. I feel like if JB community could just make reasonable orders and orders that people can understand, JB could be fun as hell like it used to for me and other players. -
First, I'll link the original thread, where it was determined that the ladder above medic connecting to the building was KOS. When playing on this map a few days ago I was ordering the T's to go up the building level by level (Because there's nothing to do on the map), and an admin was telling me that I wasn't allowed to give KOS orders and that the ladder is KOS. I don't think the building or ladder should be KOS, especially on a CT sided map like this one.

JB Ba_Jail_Canyondam_GO Elevator
TheZZL posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
I've seen some rumors on the server that Ba_Jail_Canyondam_GO's elevator and the upper section of the map are KOS. I find that extremely hard to believe, as there's nothing (currently in this version) but viewpoints and extra rooms up there. I'd just like to squash the rumor, even though I know it's not true. @frankie -
I understand the title is a little bit confusing, so let me clarify. Someone takes first order and says "leave your cells", or they say "take 2,000 steps out of your cell and freeze". While it's not an actual freeday, they're indirectly giving one. This workaround has been on the server for a long time without opposition. The question is, are these types of orders allowed. In my opinion, they shouldn't be restricted excessively. If someone gives that order I don't mind it, but if it's every round it should be stopped.

JB Bed or dead
Error. posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
Recently I have been thinking about the "bed or dead" saying on JB. Should saying this be allowed or not? It could confuse new players to the server/JB and they might spray down people who are not on their beds in their cells (which might result in a CT ban, ban, or slay for something they got confused by) -
JB Forcing a deathgame with no recall button
TheZZL posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
Some people think that you are not allowed to force death games that have no recall button/stopping mechanism. Good examples would be: Deathrun, Breakfloor, Deathjump, Lasers, Elevator, etc.. Thoughts? Personally I've always thought you'd been able to, but I just need this reassurance so these very adamant players can relax. -
JB Freedays
TheZZL posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
Special orders have to be given over mic, but freedays don't. This leads to chas and confusion when one toxic CT wants to be toxic, and gets multiple CT's killed. I understand a CT being able to give FD over mic if they're the last CT (or if there are only a few people on) would make sense, but I rather take that sacrifice over the dozens of times myself and other CT's have died to this. -
JB Changing a rule for LRs
GG EZ posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
This rule should be added on or changed “LRs are considered to be complete when the prisoner and/or participating CT dies. A T may request to continue his Lr after it is complete, but CTs are not required to honor this request and the T may be killed.” Rather then having it to where if one of the players in the LR dies, the LR is complete, the rule should be changed to something like, LRs are considered to be complete when the prisoner or guard gets killed by their opponent in the LR This rule at the bottom in red helps Ts with their last requests but it doesn’t guarantee the Ts to have another shot at an another LR, since all it states is that Ts are allowed to make another Last request if it gets interrupted. • Last Requests must be reasonable, cannot be timed, cannot last the remainder of the round and must be agreed to by a CT. If a prisoner's LR is interrupted, they may request another one. This change/addition would help with kill hungry CTs and wouldn’t ruin someone’s round if the whole round all they wanted was to play an LR. With these current rules, if another T that wasn’t in the LR were to kill a CT in an LR, then the other CTs would be allowed to kill the T that was in the LR with the CT that got killed since it is considered as a completed LR as the participating CT has died. -
JB ba_jail_texture_city_v2_1 KOS Locations
TheZZL posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
On texture city the armory is linked to lots of areas. It includes connections to the roof of medic, a building, and both the roof of cells and the CT watchtower. The green outlines areas that should not be KOS, and the red are areas that I think are supposed to be KOS. I was wondering if an AT could give me their thoughts and confirmation. The main question comes with the ladders outlined in black, I thnk those shouldn't be KOS. -
JB JB_Clouids_SG Cell Roofs
TheZZL posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
Due to the revival of the clouds map, some of the map-specific KOS areas are in discussion. The main area are the cell roofs. When the map was still in circulation, there was a post with the conclusion that cell roofs (or the chaos of boxes above them) were kos. The question still stands, are the roofs KOS? This would be similar to this discussion about in-cell vents/secrets. However, on this map, the roofs provide an advantage such as: Teleportation to a primary on second island, damage grenades, a pistol, an invisible box to hide in, and closer access to the armory early-round. I would appreciate input from the JB staff team as I can't find that old post. Edit: Just to add, both ways to get on top of the cells are not KOS, as they're just some "parkour". -
JB Rules and F.A.Q.
TheZZL posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
In the Jailbreak Rules and F.A.Q. (Found , it states the following messages: The first attachment states that administering a warning shot with a grenade is allowed. It has forever been my belief, from regulars and admins, that a warning shot is called a warning SHOT for a reason. Does this need to be corrected, or is this a misconception? The next attachment states that all invisible walls, objects, ladders, and buttons are kos. I've always believed if I can see the one T opening the big cage vent secret or opening the armory door secret on medic (All on revamp/razor), that I could kill them. However, almost every admin I ask tells me I can NOT do this because they're not in the secret, they're just opening it. This is similar to the argument of, they just broke the vent and they're not actually in it. However, since it is an actual invisible button I always deem it KOS. I'd appreciate some input from @Dominic @eXtr3m3 @Manny and @Military_king ( and of course our new CA @fantastic ). I tried to get rid of the thumbnail down here but I don't know how to, if any CA+ can remove it and this message I'd appreciate that. -
Does this rule mean that we cannot force the deathgame with four participants, or with total players alive. I personally only force deathgames with more than four active participants, not total players. Could we get some clarification? Thanks.

JB Simon Says
TheZZL posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
Recently on Jailbreak, there's been a simon says trend going around that I don't think complies with the rules. I wasn't able to find exact rules for Simon Says, but I'm confident you're not supposed to overly confuse the T's. The new trend is when a CT says that they're simon, then tells them," Simon Says from now on you will call me/respond to Joker insteaad of Simon Says." Then, the CT says," THE Joker says (some simon says order)". He then proceeds to kill everyone that did the action, because he said "THE joker says", instead of just "Joker Says". I don't think this is allowed, and the player that does it most often has received warnings from an admin. However, his defense is that he's done it while other admins are online and they do not seem to have a problem with it. Is this form of simon says allowed? And what are the exact rules for voluntary LR's and simon says specifically. -
JB Enforcing the back wall of Isolation
TheZZL posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
So since the dawn of my time here at SG, "crouch walk no jumping to the back wall of iso" has been an everlasting toxic order that CT's (myself included) enjoy giving. The main issue with the order is the ignorance of the CT's. When they try to "enforce" the backwall of isolation they do one of two things. 1. They either spray through Iso doing two things, A giving multiple warning shots when only one is needed, or B, hitting people that are on the backwall (THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME). Or #2, they might tap the back wall, but they still end up HITTING PEOPLE ON THE BACKWALL. This leads to a whole mess of T's complaining and CT's not owning up to their mistakes etc. I think that in reality, if an inmate is sent to isolation they are not forced to stand on the back wall etc. (I see how this logic is flawed based off the fact this is CS:GO and we have giant soccerballls and last requests including harming guards but you get the point). I think all the orders that force us to be on a location in isolation should be removed, simply making it "Crouch walk no jumping to isolation" (Or whatever sending variation they CT's want to give) -
JB Freeknifing
TheZZL posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
What defines a freeknife? I'm told that freeknifing without punishment is when you're standing still and knife. What about if you're walking, if you're listening to an order and are just knifing while you go to that location. I have conlficting information for some people telling me that that's allowed some telling me it is. Also, if I freeknife someone and we all accept that it was the ct's fault, then the CT dies to someone else am I KOS? Everyone understanding that the freeknife was the ct's fault, am I now KOS For assisting in the CT's death? -
JB alternate accounts
GG EZ posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
i feel that there should be a way to stop people from using alternate accounts so the can rdm or free kill but then never get the punishment for it since i see many people who go on alts and just free kill or rdm everyone -
JB Should we remove AFK freeze?
ThRza posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
Some morons leave us there for too long and we start to get moved to spectators. This is really annoying and I think it should just be removed. -
JB Slaying yourself repeatedly
Dominic posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
I've been seeing this happen lately and I don't think it should be allowed (someone told me it's fine). A CT literally goes into vents every round and just slays himself. He isn't helping his team, he's just leaving a free gun in vents. This is applying to PB obviously and I haven't actually asked @Goku or @Wawa but while it may seem like there is no harm in this I only asked an admin because one time a CT did it I got a guy come up from vents with an AK and he killed me. I don't agree that if this is allowed, it should be. Of course the guy I'm referring to was just there to troll and he did end up getting banned but it still happened. -
JB Dropping a pistol and picking it back up
Dominic posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
Situation I encountered: CT: Drop the pistol -The T drops the pistol and picks it back up- -The CT shoots the T- T: Freeshot! Freeshot! Once a T drops the pistol as they were ordered to, are they allowed to pick it back up? Or does the CT have to say "Don't pick it back up." I see this happen way too many times and the CTs are always confused on how to act. -
JB Questions for JailBreak
Dominic posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
1) jb_sg_dojo_v5-6 Usually, for a freeday, I give the order "No dojo, no dojo roof, no dojo stairs." Recently people have really been trying to find their way around things, so I have a question concerning "no dojo stairs." As many of you probably know, the stairs in front of dojo don't extend all the way around the front. It leads to off to blocks. Does the order still apply to those blocks? 2) jb_putin_v2 This seemed kind of stupid to me but it was a scenario I ran into earlier and someone argued it with me. So, the catwalk that wraps around the whole entire map it all leads back to the top of armory which has a little door with a ladder that leads into it. The thing is, the CTs have to open this from the inside of armory. So if it isn't open, does that make it not KOS? Or is it always KOS? Or is it never KOS? I probably have more questions but I can't think of them off the top of my head, so I'll probably end up making another thread if I ever think of a few questions. Most of my questions are based off scenarios that happen in-game that leave me confused. -
JB couple questions
Caution posted a topic in Jailbreak -- pb.steam-gamers.net
i have a few questions about things on pb servers that i have heard from hearsay and would appreciate if an ADMIN could answer them because im sick of playin by different rules depending on who's the admin 1. do you have to have a mic to give orders on a ct? i have one and understand it helps but do you have to? 2.do you have to open cells by a certain time? if so what time? 3. do you have to give warning shots for anything? if so then what? 4. is camping allowed for ct's? 5. is making the t's play death simon says / death races against the rules? it still is giving them direct orders 6. this is probably the biggest one, if you're the last ct can you free kill any t you see? i think that one is complete bullshit but im jw 7. if an admin comes on and changes any of the rules above, do we have to follow what the admin says? ex. if an admin says you can free kill when you're the last ct, can we? 8. is ANYTHING thats not in the motd fair game? thanks guys, sorry to ask a lot but just want to clear shit up :001_smile:
