None of the above, going out for a few days and having nothing to worry about.. That's the easy way.

My 23-year old cat died recently so we don't know if we'll take another cat :/

I'll move at the end of the year, so it's quite comfy to have a cat in winter :)

Due to FB being AFK; Here is today's question:

Cats or Dogs?

Explain why either one is better*

Dogs.

Because they have a purpose being a pet, and are useful to have. What use and purpose do cats have other than to be looked at and occasionally cute? None.

Dogs are more loyal than cats, dogs have been proven to have more attachment than cats to humans. Dogs are more protective than cats, and more proactive. They can be trained to do tricks. They can be trained to be obedient and therefore more useful than cats.

Dogs instinctively protect young, and it doesn't matter the species. They protect kids they just met, and protect other animals that would not otherwise fend for themselves, making them more gentle in nature as well as a role model to human kids. Would you rather have a cat that just lays around and gets all pissy when you try to pet them as your household pet with your kid, or a dog who would love and care for you kid while playing games with them? Easy choice, dogs are more valuable family pets.

Overall, a dog is worth the investment a lot more than a cat. It's a practical pet, while a cat is like owning a turtle. You get nothing of value in return out of cleaning up after it.

This was an overly aggressive post. It does, however, represent the stance of BD's on this matter.
