As the title says I'm currently in the market for a new video card. I want to get the 1070 however with all the different custom builds of it I'm not sure which one I should get and how to compare them. I was hoping someone here knows a bit more about video cards and can point me in the right direction.

I find the EVGA GPU's the best, because of their great customer support and extended warranties of up to 10 years. You really can't go wrong with EVGA.

I had an EVGA GTX1070 SC and it was a great card. So the SC2 or the FTW2 are both great choices. The version 2's are upgraded versions of the SC and FTW GPU's. They have that new ICX tech that EVGA developed inorder to have independant component cooling.

I loved my SC it performed great and stayed quite cool aswell. Didn't go over 58°C under 100% load.

Reason I sold it was because I wanted an AMD RX Vega GPU. Otherwise I still would've had it.

Currently have a RX470 that I got for $180. Phenomenal graphics card for the price. Any card within the RX family is amazing.

Good luck finding one at a decent price nowadays.

May want to post your monitor setup, refresh rates, etc as that can make a difference.

I actually just recently upgraded from a GTX 760 to a GTX 1060 6GB and absolutely love it. I run 1080p at 60-70hz so I don't really need a 1070 or 1080 right now, until I decide to get a 1440p 144hz setup or something :p

Meh, that's all relative, tbh.

I recently bought an AMD RX Vega 64 and I only game on 1080p Ultra wide. But I bought it for the FreeSync option and because the RX400/500 series is way overpriced.
