I guess what I meant was, having the "No impersonating Admins" rule already covers this kind of rule breaking, including tags that may be used to impersonate or troll. Admins are brought on because the higher-ups feel they're able to make sound judgement on situations and that would include what tags should and shouldn't be allowed. Personally, I probably wouldn't bat an eye at a [ESS GEE] tag unless I felt the player was trolling, harassing, impersonating, or if it caused other player's to get confused. But something like [GS] I probably would, as it is a LOT closer to the real thing. In the end, it's up to the higher up's if they want to add a more detailed SG Tag rule. I feel the current 'No impersonating Admins' rule already covers that and allows Admins the flexibility to ask player's to change their tag if they feel it's too similar.

Well, this isn't really a bad idea... It's not a good idea either, it's just somewhere in the middle. The servers specifically state that the official SG tag is [sG], so if someone is being fooled by someone with an [ESS GEE] tag, then they may deserve it lol. Either way, pretending to be an SG Admin is already against the rules, so I think all the grounds are covered and nitpicking tags would just unnecessary work.

May want to post your monitor setup, refresh rates, etc as that can make a difference. I actually just recently upgraded from a GTX 760 to a GTX 1060 6GB and absolutely love it. I run 1080p at 60-70hz so I don't really need a 1070 or 1080 right now, until I decide to get a 1440p 144hz setup or something

November 5th 2003 is my account's join date, but I started playing when Half-life 1 was released, followed by Opposing Force. Doesn't feel like that long, but man it's been a great 9 years! I started on the ol ZM servers, and really 'joined' the community/website when it shifted into SG. It's a home I can always rely on being here

I am more surprised that it has taken THIS long to have to mention something like this, considering how long SG has had Sup and Sub over the years, but I agree 100% on how this is being handled now. And SG has more than earned my $5/month

Admin is a great rank, has plenty of power to do it's job, and having a lesser rank with slightly less powers or even no powers is not going to help but only add confusion.

I kinda miss this game... Wife and I were in the beta, had a guild that we started before the release and had converted into the main release, etc. Game was fantastic, loads of fun, stories were great, but for some reason they just spread the population WAY too thin across WAY too many servers and PVP was kinda iffy as well. Eventually PVP queue times were garbage because everyone was transferring to large pop servers, and before I knew it the server we played on was a ghost town. I miss SWG

I really don't see any strong reasons to remove it. Casual server is casual, no need to restrict any weapons or alter game play aside from any events of course.
