TTT is impressed very little by the map, which is why people choose their favorite maps and you tend to see a lot of map variety. JB, on the other hand, hinges entirely on the map. Because of this, people choose the maps they know instead of learning new ones. They don't choose Razer because it's the perfect JB map, but because everyone and their mother knows all the secrets on it.

The reason people like the VIP trio so much is not just because they know the secrets. The nature of our jailbreak community is to rebel, so when people are forced to play a deathgame they aren't typically enjoying it. When players have only played maps with no forcible minigames and then are forced to play one, they aren't happy. As well as what you said, people don't like taking the time to learn the secrets of a new map. Removing one of these maps won't help, and neither will removing the other varients you mentioned. Our best bet to straying away from constant rebelling (and not playing deathgames/minigames) is to keep the spy vs spy and lego jail maps, as these maps at least have more minigames for us to play. Double the similar map, double the deathgames and minigames (One has monopoly and one has deathgame).

I would actually think this isn't the case. I don't think people take death games into much of a consideration when voting for map. For instance, Spy v Spy has become everyone's new favorite map. The map is loaded with deathgames, is pure untextured eye cancer, and has a fairly shit layout. It would seem odd why people would consider playing it, until you notice that it has arguably the easiest layout to learn, as well as very simple secrets (just vents and secret walls, no codes or invisible buttons.).

We also have maps such as future that nobody wants to play. This is considered to be another Razer derivative. The map is beautifully textured and dressed, with a considerably designed traffic flow as well as complex secrets. The problem? It's confusing as all hell. The layout isn't terrible by any means, and the map is rather large and accommodating to our population, but it takes more than 30 seconds to learn so people just RTV it.

The managers and I have all agreed to leave this how it is. We have a voting system on the server, not a set rotation, the maps aren't getting overplayed because we're forcing them onto people, they're getting overplayed because there's overwhelming support for them. Those maps have tons of time played on the server and are among our most popular ones, we don't want to force people to play less popular maps.

Also a quick PSA / reminder that passive aggressive behavior / speech does not get you anywhere. It doesn't make us feel more inclined to listen to you, just makes you look like an asshole.

Feel free to PM me or another manager if you'd like to discuss this further.
