  1. Never had a cat but want one. I prefer dogs tho. Theyre more social than cats which to some is a pro and others a con. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Well...did she at least get to finish? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I keep hearing good things about them and have been told to check them out on more than one occasion. Keep meaning to get around to it. I generally like to start with an artist' first album when first listening to them, after that what would you recommend?
  4. Love how my post is still the most recent freaking 8 months later. Anyway, UPDATE TIME! Since then I haven't really dropped any of those 5 bands, but I added one and I can give a more certain order. 1. Icon For Hire -Discovered them in Jan and fell in love. Since then I've met the band and interacted with them quite a bit both on social media and in person at Warped tour a few weeks ago. The guitarist even follows me on twitter and gave me a poster when I met him for being so active with them on social media XD Def my fav band and some amazing people. That's their flag in my avatar actually. 2. Katy Perry- Katy is really tied at 1 but at the moment I'm more into Icon than I am Katy. 3. Halestorm- Met them back in May. Really nice people and great band. 4. Green Day 5. The Pretty Reckless 6. KISS
  5. On mobile so not gonna link it atm but will edit and link a few songs later but I'm currently listening to the Broadway version of American Idiot by Green Day. It's one of my fav albums and I absolutely love what they did with it when turning it into a Broadway play. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edit: Alright here are some songs from the broadway version. I'll include a link to the some of the originals if you want to hear the difference. Was in choir in school so I really love and appreciate the way they changed the songs. American Idiot: Original: 21 Guns: Original: Last of The American Girls/She's a Rebel: Originals: Last of The American Girls She's a Rebel:
  6. Is this the new "Pm exrev any and all questions"? Cuz I can totally get behind this. Brb pm'ing dirk. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. @harpo but..but..now who's gonna teamkill in l4d2 with me I can't wait a week!
  8. Been CT a few times and guess I was always lucky to get cooperative CTs but I do see how easy it would be to get blocked. While I do enjoy the concept of the map and am quite fond of the pool area and the carnival area, there overall isn't much to do and I'd be perfectly okay with it being removed. I would love to see something similar or a revamp of the map though.
  9. Tell you what. I'll write a character just for you. I'll be sure he dies first top ;> Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Got stream June 2011. Joined because an Internet friend was raving about TF2 and told me it was free so I downloaded it. First game I actually bought was l4d2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Bumping out of curiosity. I currently have nothing planned in regards to a forum mafia game, but if I were to attempt to make another one, would anyone be interested? If you need a reminder of what forum mafia is: What is forum mafia? Forum mafia is a little like TTT, only forum based. The game will begin with a short introduction story. After that, depending on the host, you will either start the day phase, or the night phase. Night Phase: During the night phase, which usually lasts 1-2 IRL days, players that have night actions may submit their actions to the host. Some of those powers include killing one person, following one person and seeing who they visit, or watching someone to see who visits them. The list goes on and on. This is also the time when the mafia (traitors) will discuss who they want to kill. Day Phase: During the day phase, which usually lasts 2-3 days, players will be given a short story that includes any deaths or note-able actions that went on during the night. the town will then vote on who they want to "lynch" or kill that day. If they so choose, they may choose not to kill anyone. In some rare cases, players may have day time actions that they would submit to the host. The game continues until a win condition has been met. The town (innos) win when all mafia or some types of third party have been killed off. The third party's win condition varies from game to game, and the mafia wins when all innos have died. Where do we play? I will be creating a site, using either enjin or proboards, I have not decided yet. The game shall be hosted and played there. Talk about the game outside of the site is forbidden and depending on the severity of it, may or may not result in punishment such as banishment from the game via player being killed off aka DQ'd, loss of vote and/or night action. What about my character? I will randomly assign you a character and role. YOU ARE NOT TO REVEAL YOUR CHARACTER OR ROLE TO ANYONE This is crucial not only to the game and story, but to your survival. Many times smart players are able to piece together which characters in the story are good or bad. What's this about a story? When all the actions and votes are cast, I will take them and make a short story with it. For example, lets say the town votes to kill off Spartan. I wouldn't actually use his name, I would use character names. I will from time to time drop hints.
  13. Forum Mafia (Again)?

Started work on the site. Semi started the game writing. Not gonna rush myself to finish. Gonna take some time and get everything best I can. Haven't yet decided which idea I'm going to go with yet. Eventually I'd like to do both but not sure which one is first
  14. All this talk about moving towards a community playing games together is fine, but makes me have to ask, how long are we going to keep having servers? Like, more specifically TTT as its the only one I play atm. Like, is the long plan to start with 4 servers and build up with a bigger focus on playing together, and seeing if the servers expand, or to eventually do away with the servers completely?
  15. Let me preface this with a few things. One, I know not everyone can afford it. I've been there, I understand wanting to donate but not being able to. So if you can't, that's fine. No one says you have to. Secondly, I assume this is in the correct section. Yesterday's meeting got my brain kinda flowing and it kinda bothered me that out of the ~50 ppl there, I believe only 3-4 donated. I know some can't, but a big thing I saw mentioned was discussion on perks for donating. And while they make a good incentive to do so, people that are a part of this community at this point shouldn't be worried about what perks they'll be getting out of it. I understand having the perks to want to make new ppl donate, but the primary source of donations should be from people wanting to donate simply because they enjoy the community. Hopefully the subscriber rank helps, but the main reason why you should donate if you can, is simply because you like this community and want to see it thrive. I'm fully aware not everyone can donate like I did on the spur of the moment yesterday, but I did not for perks. I did it because I love SG. No matter what, I've always come back here the past almost 3 years. Lord knows I've gotten more than $50 dollars worth of entertainment and memories from this community. And you don't even have to donate $10, every dollar counts. What's made SG so special to me is the player base and the servers. The rules and setup just make sense to me. I've rarely ever seen a rule that I thought "that's fucking retarded". And while I may not have agreed with how every little thing was handled, no community is perfect. I've grown to love the ppl here. From the love able community retards like Neptune, Bork and spartan potatoes, to the "normal" people like xeno, caution and Vick (swiftbros for life). There's no other community at this point that I want to be a part of. I'd like to think there are others like me. I know I've been pretty much gone for awhile, but I'm back and committed. This is my internet home and I love that. So basically, if you can manage it, please donate just a little bit simply because you love this community and want to see it restore itself. Not because you want something special in return.
  16. Forum Mafia (Again)?

Thinking days 24 hours, nights 12 hours. Going off of average games with 12 people, 3 mafia, one person dying day, one person night, assuming one mafia makes it to final three, it'd prob take about a week and a half, give or take to finish. Granted more people can die in one phase, and might take slightly longer to give me time to gather all the events and start the next phase (shouldn't be that much though). Not a fan of 12 hour phases though, as it'll be hard for people to post. Granted not much happens during the night minus people simply PM'ing me their actions, and the mafia discussing their plan. Maybe 24 hour day and 24 night? Already working on the site. Idk when I'll get enough ppl interested, but enjoying working on it so why not. Semi-started working on the two stories.
  17. Help with PC building

I got the current keyboard for christmas last year. It works pretty damn well tbh. Think I've only had to change the batteries like twice. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing keyboard, but it's Dallas. I do plan on using a wired one with my new pc.
  18. So this isn't actually going to happen to sometime after mid-February at the soonest as I'm going to use some of my income tax check to pay for this, but I'm starting to look into getting a PC dedicated strictly to gaming. I'll end up putting my music and maybe some other things, but for the most part, it's primary use will be gaming and community things. That being said, I don't know shit. To preface this, this is my current PC, this is my current keyboard, and this is my current mouse. The mouse is working just fine and I love it, I'm probably going to get a new keyboard. I was looking somewhere close to the $500 mark, and found this computer on reddit's r/pcmasterrace. Being that I don't know shit, I was wondering from those that do, if that is a good computer for the price. I'll be playing mostly Gmod; CS(go and source); l4d2 like games, but wouldn't mind throwing in somethings like GTA V and Assassins Creed and maybe even Battlefield. Also I'll need a good monitor preferably for not too much. I do have this TV that isn't being used for much, but not sure if it would work well or not. Basically I'm looking for as many tips, suggestions and ideas as possible. That way I can put as much planning into this as possible since I'll have a few months to prepare.
  19. Forum Mafia (Again)?

The lengths can be w/e. Usually days 48, nights 24 to give people in different time zones a chance to check in and play. We could do whatever works for everyone else.
  20. Forum Mafia (Again)?

The game is played outside this forum. I'll create the separate forum specifically for the game.
  21. Okay so, last year I tried to run a good ole' game of forum mafia, but people weren't active enough to actually run it, so it died down pretty damn fast. I was wanting to know if enough people would be interested in trying another game. So first things first, what is forum mafia? (copy and pasted with minor edits from: http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Newbie_Guide ) In its simplest form, Mafia consists of two sides: the Mafia, and the Town. The Mafia's goal is to kill the innocents, while the Town's goal is to kill the Mafia. At the beginning of the game, the Moderator will secretly send everyone their role. The Mafia will know each other, while everyone else will only know their own role. The game has two phases, Day and Night. During Day, the Town must choose someone to Lynch; they are trying to eliminate the Mafia, but the Mafia can lead them astray by casting suspicion elsewhere. Generally, players will vote for someone they think is Mafia (the Mafia will vote so that they seem to be doing this as well, and might even vote for each other to confuse the Town); when a player gets a majority of the votes, they are lynched. Their role is revealed by the Moderator, and it becomes Night. During the Night, the thread is locked and no one can talk publicly. The Mafia, however, can speak to each other privately to plot strategy and decide who to murder before the next Day begins. In this way, they can silence members of the Town who are threats to them. At the end of the Night, the murder is carried out and another Day begins. In effect, the Town gets to kill someone, and then the Mafia gets to kill someone. The game alternates between Day and Night until either the Mafia are eliminated, or the Mafia have killed everyone else (or nothing can prevent the same). Players will have roles that have special abilities. These special abilities are usually carried out during the night, but in some rare instances can be used during the day. Below is a list of common roles: Cop - Each Night, the Cop can investigate one player (by sending their name to the Moderator), and the Moderator will tell them whether that player is Mafia or not. Doctor - Each Night, the Doctor can choose one player to protect (by sending their name to the Moderator). If the Mafia (or anyone else) tries to kill that player, that kill will be prevented. Vigilante - Each Night, the Vigilante may kill another player (by sending their name to the Moderator). Besides town and mafia, some players might be third party. Third party are neither aligned to the town or mafia, and have specific win conditions. Below is a list of some common third party roles: Serial Killer - The killer (for short) is separate from the mafia and wins when everyone is dead. Fool- The fool's lone win condition is to be lynched. If he is killed by anything other than a town lynch, he loses. If the fool is lynched, he automatically wins the game. Cult- The cult starts with one person known as the cult leader. Each night the cult recruits one person to join them. The cult knows each other. They win when they outnumber the town and the mafia is no more. Basically I will assign an alliance/role to each person. Whatever actions happen by the players, will affect the story. At the end/beginning of each phase, I will post a short story that setups up the next phase and includes certain night actions. Now then, I was wanting to see if people would be interested enough to commit the time to actually pull this game off. Depending on how fast people play, the game will take about a month to play in it's entirety. Day phases usually last 48 hours and night phases last 24. To play you'd have to be willing to commit the time to check up on the phases multiple times and actually post. The more active everyone is the better. Not only does it make it easier for people to get a read on other players, it makes the game more fun. All that being said, I have two base ideas for the game at the moment. Please vote below on which one you'd be more interested in playing. And one last thing, games are usually 10-12 players, I'll decide this later when I start working on the game. The game won't start to probably sometime next month, possibly around this time, as I have to create the characters, balance out the roles and plan the story. Idea #1: The game begins with the characters arriving at a department store late one night, some work there, others are there for shopping and some for other reasons. As they each go about their business a blackout occurs and the doors are locked. One by one people start dying or just plain disappearing. The few people in the store must work together to figure out who's behind this strange occurrence and (hopefully) get out alive. Idea #2: The game begins at a rock concert. Everyone is there having a good time when technical difficulties begin to happen. It starts with the sound failing, and next thing you know the light rigs begin falling and pyro is being shot into the audience. Those that are lucky enough to survive come together and figure out what's the reason behind all this. Just when everyone thinks they are safe, mysterious things start happening and they must work together to survive.
  22. Eh, I live in the Houston area so primetime guarantees I'll get to see Dallas play. Also usually work Sundays, normally opening so I'll be able to watch them play. Tbh, I have confidence in our remaining schedule. 11-bye 12-NYG: Should win this game, but division games, never know. 13-PHI: We'll most likely split with them 14-Bears: LOL 15-PHI: See week 13 16-Colts: Could see this going either way, but I think we can win this one. 17-Was: No way in hell they sweep us. So we should be at the worst, 11-5, maybe 12-4.
  23. Well I considered week 10 to be over so next week in football weeks. This is our bye. Dallas plays 4 straight prime time. SNF against Giants, thanksgiving against the Eagles, TNF against the Bears, SNF against the Eagles.
