Depends on the cost of hosting one. The donation goal of $300 has been fine for the most part. We tend to go over it, and I tend to spend more than that. Regardless I'm not paying like another $200 or so for a dedi just for this. Our current dedi cannot really withstand an arma server given how much resources it took last time so it really depends there. But I'm not against getting one if it's going to be popular. I'm just not forking out a ton for it without getting the money for it in the first place.

It isn't. It's natural for players to have other priorities other than gaming, and it certainly isn't a problem so long as you don't do it to get a better player on your team lol.

I think the amount of subs people are getting for their teams is somewhat undermining this whole randoming process. We're essentially playing a different team entirely and it just allows better players to replace shitty ones. I could, for instance, say Scuba is not on our team because he's never around or available to play and therefore replace him with some 100% experienced competitive player who I know that would rape 95% of SG players easy. Honestly if teams cannot play with their players they need to pull out of the competition. I do know that this is supposed to be a warm up to a 5 v 5 and being so far along, it would be pointless to do this now so I'm not saying it should be done now. But it should be taken into account for any future competition.

Me and Skitz already decided to play our match this Saturday at 5pm EST or there abouts. The problem here for most people is that there can only be matches played when there is free time, in which case it's usually the weekend. In that case you're lucky to get a team to play a match once a week, which is just about what I've done for my team since the timezones are annoying, and the people are not always online. It's about as good as it gets tbh.

Not that I care too much about the difference between the two but: In LoL games can range from 20 - 60 minutes, which needs to be done at least twice and at most 3 times, since it is best out of 3. CSS scrims could theoretically take 45 minutes considering it's 1:30 for each round with a possible 30 (without overtime). Doesn't often last 1:30 every round and certainly not with 6 people. Teams were custom picked, doesn't mean to say that doesn't make it difficult for people to meet up and play? Actually, LoL requires all 10 players to be around, all 10 in a custom made lobby and then the process of banning 6 champions with 30 seconds max intervals between each champion selection, along with a 45 (I think) second selection time for picking your own champions. Then the loading times of all 10 players, then the game itself. Repeat once or twice more. There are always usually people after each game taking a break. Overall it will take a couple hours at least to do every match. Not to mention you can actually pause the game if the other team agrees to. CSS is pretty quick to get all 6 on, live, and you're off. The difference is quite apparent. There is no jab at making it sound less worthwhile or badly organised. This one wasn't well organised enough to make it run smoothly, and some circumstances were out of my control altogether. I don't see why this is even needing to be brought up from one sentence I said about it looking better organised when it's literally stuck at the moment. Don't take things so personally....

The tournament is suspended. CSS tournament requires 6 people as opposed to 10, with a quicker start and end to the matches, and less setting up time. Of course it is going to look better organised, even though it's been stuck like this SGSL - Challonge for like 2+ weeks now. Captains still organise the matches themselves.

I understand that a few of the teams have been scheduling matches and the other team hasn't turned up with a full team. And so I didn't want to have to make this pretty strict, but if this is going to be done before Christmas, I'm going to need to put this into effect starting now. If your team is scheduled to play a match and both captains agree to play at the day and time, you must make every possible effort to turn up. If your team does not turn up, you are granted a 1 week grace period in which to re-organise the match. During this week, if you fail to re-organise a day and time with the opposing captain, you forfeit the match. If you do agree on a new day and time and fail to turn up with your team again, you will as a result of not having a full team, forfeit the match. If you think the rescheduled day and time is unlikely to be met by your team due to personal circumstances by a member of your team, you must inform the opposing team captain 24 hours before the match is due. Failure to do so will result in you forfeiting the match. If the 2nd time cannot be played and the opposing captain was notified 24 hours beforehand, please speak to me about the situation so I can judge it. Should I think it is acceptable, I will allow the match to be re-scheduled yet again, but no more than a 3rd time. If your team does not show up for whatever reason yet again, you forfeit the match. I didn't want to make this but I must admit my team has done this twice (fuck sakes Harro). TCP has been nice enough to reschedule the game each time but I have to draw the line somewhere even with my own team.

It's shit like this that makes insurance costs a fuck ton for young people. No respect for the road or the police, and one day you might just regret it.
