This post is very, very not true in any aspect or accurate to what we're discussing. I don't know how many ArmA 3 Roleplay servers you've played/managed but a lot of them require custom mods, lots of tinkering with properties and configs and most likely some kind of person with a development background to fix your every bugs & keep content rolling out. Your server was practically done for you as most of those instances were generated by the mods you were running. Popular or at the very least populated ArmA 3 servers are mostly the way they are due to being very full of content- drug farms, mining, police stations, hospitals, banks, turtle poaching, a full set of intricate rules, figuring out who whitelists for what job and getting staff for said server. There is not going to be a successful Roleplay server based on strictly NPC Encounters on ArmA because we're not discussing RP as a Military Simulator but more of something like DarkRP, GTA RP, Altis Life, Perp etc.. All of which require tons of work that doesn't even come close to the amount you have to put in to throw a few mods on and play an ArmA mission with a few friends. The workload is just wildly different.

Big difference between something like what you ran (pretty much a mission server) and an actual full-fledged RP server for ArmA 3.

I disagree with 2 things here. I disagree with the mentality that because PERP didn't work under Paralyzed in 2011 or whenever the fuck, that the entire RP genre is fucked for SG. I feel like that's pretty narrow minded in all honesty. Besides that, DarkRP and BuildRP both did alright even after PERP went down so I can't completely say that SG should overlook this idea. I disagree with a test run on anything RP, would take far too long to set anything worthwhile on any of those games up to play up for a week only. Kinda got to go with the "go big or go home" mentality and doing it right now might not be the best idea simply due to the lack of staffing & as far as I know little experience with these type of servers among our high ranks.

Would like to see something along these lines, particularly Dark RP on Garry's Mod & ArmA. I'd be willing to play GTA but think ArmA/GMOD is far more likely to work. I've ran & administrated popular DarkRP servers in the past, would love to take some time off of Prison Break but it would probably spread our admins thin. Main issue with ArmA is that in most cases it requires you to have people with experience in running an ArmA server, intricate rules etc.. all of which takes TONS of work.

Keeps getting rejected everywhere I go, don't understand why.

Last thread we stopped looking for a fix due to our servers getting fucked for trying to fix this. It's been almost 2 months, can we please look into what method other servers are using to fix this without getting fucked over by Valve? Maybe reach out to other communities and have the BD's carefully choose what we're going to do instead of adding something impulsively like last time? It seems really fucking pointless to wait for a CS:GO update to fix this. Spent like 2 minutes searching and found this, not sure if this has already been tried but testing it separately or networking a bit is better than doing nothing at this point.

The karma system is taken way too seriously which is a reason why I think it should be changed completely when the gamemode is revamped. It could be used in such a more productive way to punish rule breakers rather than be used as a ranking for people's tiny e-peen. We could have a separate ranking system from Karma that is nearly if not exactly identical which we could manage the same way with resets etc.. in mind.

@McBride and @Insidious for being able to drink way too much and not get phased at all. See a doctor, please.
