Pretty sure stage 7 on this map is broken right now. I try doing what the bot does exactly and it won't let me pass the stage. I've done what KSF surfers have done and posted on youtube and it doesn't work. I dont think anyone could legitimately beat it right now. I will record a demo and post it here tomorrow.

That is a fair point however I do think it is still fair to say that bhop is an all around more popular game mode and has a better chance of attracting people to it than zriot has proven to be. In an ideal world, I would like to see a zriot and bhop server flourish but I don't think that will happen. If it isn't bhop we should put our heads together and think of a unique game mode that will attract people and keep its own stable population of regulars.

My mistake then, however the fact still remains that currently, the average player population of that server according to GameTracker is 1 for the past month. EDIT: Don't get me wrong, I enjoy ZRIOT and even when we had ZH I enjoyed it but it is undeniable that bhop is more popular and more likely to survive. If it had a player base of 4 for a month it would be more successful than what the ZRIOT server has done in the past month.

I would support a bhop server not with the aim of turning it into some powerhouse server but for the people who like to bhop. I frequent the surf server because I like to be able to sit in a quite server do some Tier 4 maps throw on some netflix on my second monitor and just relax and try and beat all the maps. I would do the exact same thing with bhop. Full support, this should be something that should replace Zriot in my opinion. Zriot has never worked here anyway, maybe the first time we did it and it was zombie horde was the best a server like that has ever done in SG but other than that, the game mode has never been popular by any means.

That is what I thought. I figured you could do what I suggested based on the fact there are already skins on the server that have their own hand models that aren't broken.

I was thinking that as a temporary solution to the missing hand models, could we implement a "default" custom skin that has its own custom hand models like back in source we had the default Terrorist model in a jumpsuit. Not sure if viable but figured I'd put it out there.

Based on what I've heard it seems we are going to have to let this take its natural course or wait for a valve approved fix. Not 100% sure though.

You have to type !spec in chat and pick the Map Record Player and then go back to a team. Glad it was resolved for you. Happy surfing!

No its not, type !stuck. I've beaten the map there is no problems with it. There are various spots on various maps where you can get stuck for whatever reason. That command should ensure that your unstuck. If that doesn't work I believe you can always go to spectate and back to a team and you'll respawn on the same level.

Would it be possible to get an AFK kicker. I've been playing the server and there has been times that I'm the only person actively surfing for a good 5 minutes and I beat the map and I can't rtv because 1 or 2 people are sitting in spec. I don't think its unreasonable to kick someone who hasn't touched the mouse for 3 consecutive minutes, amirite?

I recommend Deathadder, SteelSeries Sensei, or a Final Mouse. Those are my top 3 mice and theylve all served me well.

Are you saying that AMD is the way to go right now? When did this happen and why wasn't there a billboard about it??

That is a good upgrade. With those parts the only thing you are gonna have to upgrade in the next 2-3 years is the video card. Also, with that it will be simple for you to overclock that up to a good 4.0 ghz and you'll be able to get a bit more speed out of it. Curious on thoughts from @Chaoz' and @Delirium but from my end you should be good with that.
