Pistols are still a 1 shot against the head if you don't have head armor. Stop targeting CT's like they are the root of the problem. There's many other issues rather then "bad orders" or "incompetent CT's". Maybe if you gave legit reasons rather than resulting to insulting a certain side everytime. You could get people to heed your reasoning better, rather than looking at it and want to stop reading halfway. As discussed there will be a vote on it as Nuclear Onion said, or maybe even end up adding armor for the T side. (Preferably without head armor)

If you don't want to read my posts, then kindly stay out of the thread. I've pointed out the reasons, and yes they do come out negatively, but look at our server and tell me they're wrong. You really can't. Hell, you yourself said that it'll probably be never that we have a strong CT team, so again, why handicap them more for not being a strong team?

I understand that you have reasons I just don't feel like removing Kevlar could be a step in the right direction at all. As for adding Kevlar to t's (defo not helmets) I think this is definitely a possibility and should be considered and perhaps even tested, although with or without I believe it would be okay. I respect that you feel there's issues I just don't think that this is necessarily the way to fix all of them when it seems to create other issues.

With the 'so again, why handicap them more for not being a strong team?' I also don't think we should handicap them anymore. However removing ct Kevlar will do nothing except handicap them. I know that you were responding to adding Kevlar to T's when saying this, however it contradicts the original idea in this thread of removing Kevlar from CT's.

First, if my above post came off as pissed in your direction, I apologize, that wasn't the intent. (At work so responding when I get brief moments).

For the second half, in regards to response of me mentioning handicaps, I admit when I started this thread, it was completely incoherent, which I'm trying to fix at this point, but at this point my only concern is for the helmets. As @nick said, we had armor before, which is right, but I feel like the helmets add more for the CTs than necessary. I get what people like @MyHobos have said about the getting hit right away, but again, it's not every round that a T has an opportunity at a pistol before cells are open, and I feel like the being hit right away is something that could easily be solved by simply changing what you're doing. Instead of going out and opening cells right away, give a more precise order and do a gun check or something.

tl;dr - I feel like with the helmet, and with some of the arguments for keeping the helmet, we're telling Ts they have to play even harder so that CTs don't have to.

I personally think that they should stay. Helmets are definitely debatable though so fair enough. I'd vote no for the point of being 1 tapped by pistols but I get that people may want them gone.

Armor is fine. Remove helmets if anything. Most of the PB maps' pistols are USP-S and Glocks and they take like 3 shots to the head to kill a helmeted CT which, if your CT is half decent, you'd die before you can even get a 3rd shot off. You can also replace the USP-S and Glocks with deagles but that's a lot more work.

However keeping helmets just force Ts to be smarter about rebelling.

But you also brought up a point I didn't think of, which is the knifing. Having the extra armor from the helmet only makes it harder for Ts that only have access to their knives.

Devil's advocate just for the hell of it, most CT's are incompetent to the point where you can get away with killing them using right-clicks from the start. You'll loose health for sure and maybe even die but I'd say 60% of the time or more you will end up winning the fight.

Everybody that's stated the helmets are to protect CTs from the cell with a USP in it act like someone's in that cell every round, which isn't always the case.

Just saying i've been able to pull shit from other people's cells on that map (and at least 1 other map too) if they don't pick it up immediately, I try that every round too. Some rounds I've pulled both the USP and a grenade [makes me feel nice and good knowing I just stole some other T's weapon].

And on Pyro's point from CSS. Yeah but times have changed. Most CT's I see don't play like you. They simply don't have the aim you, phonicz, rawrie or a few notable others have (still pissed on that 3-0 shit, Rawr, I want a rematch). For example a few weeks ago on lego, I just went through 2 CT's with little trouble. I had CT right above on top cells who saw this and emptied an entire clip at me and missed every shot. I was able to safely get away. I feel this is pretty common PB. Some people take 2 or 3 shots to actually hit someone with a warning shot, or just never hit someone.

That being said T side also seems to have fairly bad aim overall too, myself included. I understand exrev's point on giving the CT's an advantage cuz they can't aim/incompetent, it seems a little unfair to give an advantage to compensate for said reasons. However I think we usually win most maps anyway despite the advantage given. The initial rebelling part requires a more cunning to get at least 1 or 2 CT's but once that happens unless someone skilled is playing or someone camps a bit T's usually win.

All in all, armor should stay regardless the CT's clearly need it. The helmet however I couldn't care less whether its kept or removed. Could be fun though and worth a shot to see if its liked.

As an idea, how bout we hold a vote? Or try it for a week or make it a special event (like when trying out new maps) and see if there is any major flak regarding the change. This way it can be tested to see if it actually breaks gameplay rather than speculating. Then afterwards we hold a poll and see how well people like the change overall, this could be immediately in game if its an event or on the forums if done out over a week.

Then based on those results we keep the change or revert it back to with helmets unless of course it does significantly change gameplay in a negative way, in which course the change is immediately undone.
