One of my friends had an alienware. It got so hot it literally burned the wooden table it was sat on.

This kinda shit is gold.

A few of my friends have also bought alienware in the past and ALL of them have either overheated, bricked, or were overpriced by $150-400.

overheated

True

bricked

Yup

or were overpriced by $150-400.

Definately

to sum it up, if you wanna get a good laptop for gaming, don't buy alienware.

I recommend my lenovo Y50-70. Plays most games at good framerates :)

All the ASUS laptops I've had or seen work well too.

They've come out with some really surprisingly good lightweight laptops that I'm looking at for college.

I own an Alienware X51. Decent pc with a good processor and decent gpu. Alienwares are pretty stable, but really overpriced. I wouldn't recommend buying any gaming laptops since I hate laptops with a passion and they all end up overheating.

I can recommend a x51, but if I did not receive it as a gift, I wouldn't have gotten that kind of desktop.

I recommend building your own or ordering a build via Cyberpowerpc or ibuypower ( canada shipping is fucking cancer though)

We've had several Alienware laptops at work over the years.

1 - They are overpriced.

2 - Except for 1 of them they were all good reliable laptops.

3 - They are heavy as fuck. Don't buy them for portability ever.

4 - Now that they are owned by Dell their support has been far easier to deal with than ASUS or MSI have ever been.

I have mixed feelings about them. Personally I won't buy a laptop for gaming. I'll stick with desktops for gaming and keep my laptops slim, light, and for work/movies.
