As the title says, i'm in the market for 2 new monitors as my current one is about to be 7 years old and i'm wanting to replace it. I haven't checked out the monitor market is a few years so i really have no idea what i'm looking at.

My plan is basically to get one dope ass monitor to use as my main gaming one and an additional lesser dope 2nd monitor for browsing and such while i'm not busy shooting people.

Probably looking to buy the main one first with a budget of $500 and the 2nd probably around $200-300

Looking at 27" monitors mostly currently. Both would need to be the same size but brand doesn't matter to me.

Currently running a i7 7700, GTX 1060, and 16 gb ddr4 2800.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. One love thanks

I have a http://www.bestbuy.com/site/acer-27-led-hd-monitor-black/4753004.p?skuId=4753004 and have 0 complaints with it. It's thin, bright, and shows colors well. The only thing I can think of as an issue would be the power button is a bright blue when on and bright orange when on standby, and it can be annoying late at night.

I have this one. It works perfectly for me as a primary monitor, guess it could be an alright secondary for you. :larry: It's very adjustable so I think there would be no problem for you to adjust it next to another monitor without book-supports and etc.

Edit: oops just realized it's 24"

coincidentally my current monitor is actually that one but the 23'' version so those issues aren't even one. haha

Do love me acer monitors though.

I'd recommend this for your main monitor. 144 hz with 1 ms response time. This is basically the bread and butter. If you've never gamed above 60 hz this will be the biggest upgrade in your game you've ever seen since you had a pentium 2 and nvidia 6 series video card.

This should be fine for the second monitor if you don't care about performance and any of the flare that a monitor might possess.

I may be mistaken, but i think that first one is incompatible with nvidia gpu's.

Bought this one and it is honestly the smoothest monitor ive ever had, and so far i have nothing to complain about at all. (but it cost a little)

I have a 24'' acer predator that ive had for years with no issues or problems at all so i would reccomend the 144hz predator's for you :)

The monitor itself isn't incompatible just the freesync technology is for AMD video cards

Here is an alternative that comes with Gsync and is still 144 hz.
