So many good albums have released this year and I think the quarantine has definitely pushed some artists in different creative directions. Or what album got you through the quarantine? For me, I loved a lot of albums that have been released this year especially SAWAYAMA by Rina Sawayama, her voice is amazing and she sings about about topics of generational trauma and identity. She definitely pushed the pop genre by incorporating different other genres in her songs. Another album that I love is how i'm feeling now by Charli XCX. She made the album in six weeks and took inspiration from her feelings during the lockdown and I loved how experimental it was with the electronic production. The new Gorillaz album Song Machine is also really GOOD Pang by Caroline Polachek also single handedly carried 2020 for me. Awesome album, unique vocals, 10/10. Won't say it's my favorite of the year, but I've been digging The New Abnormal from The Strokes. Has a more unique and creative sound than most of their previous albums.
