  1. The skill level in the community is too varied and from experience we suck at creating equal teams. It's hard because you can almost guarentee that somebody 3 skill groups higher will win a duel 99% of the time.
  2. He means this tournament. The reason there is only one team is because nobody else in the community will want to play against the not shit CSGO players, and bringing people from outside the community isn't as fun.
  3. yeah 20v20 and you pick Cache , my jimmies.
  4. Not necessarily, SG has always been a community of split groups, they just used to be active together for stuff like this. And i find it ironic a thread that started as a LoL tournament thread is this inactive. Normally LoL is all the hype.
  5. We've done napalm every year, VIP escape on the other hand ...
  6. tbh that was the fault of the organisers. The SGSL used to be a 'good' league, it had some obvious better teams (Eldest) but it was good fun. The problems that plagued the last tournament were: 1) organisers didn't have the time when it happened, shit happened oh well. 2) the idea of 'only 2 good players in a team' was really smart. The problem was that it was badly implemented. Partly because the organisers didn't know the exact levels of everybody and generally the scrimregulars got it even though some of them weren't good and it added unbalance. BUT: in CSGO this is fixed since we now have rankings and we can use them to sort out a system e.g 1 dmg+ , 1 ak+ etc. 3) our community has gotten too casual, this in itself is no issue its the targetted 'audience', but this means we don't have many top players. Last time i got in a scrim here was maybe 3 months ago ? If we look at these problems, the only real problems we'll have is people , and strictness. These are all solved by an incentive. This really doesnt have to be money. a special rank will do, something to show of your skill. We had these in the last one , but the imbalance made people give up for good reason. And i think we should allow people outside the community If they follow the imposed team rank limits. I'd love to host a tournament, but i'm not in the touch with the community nor do i have the ability to set this up, i'm sure we have some higher ups who are interested in compcsgo. To end i feel we can get the people together in CSGO, in LOL we have a split base, and if we look at other mobas like Dota2, where i would love to do a tournament for, we don't have the interest. but it could be a good way to learn dota if people want.
  7. Did somebody say SGSL ?
  8. Most of us played it last month but we didn't have enough people. We should try it again though.
  9. CS:GO Surf

I find a surf server with Tier 1-4 maps good. We don't need anything special at the start except for a timer and leaderboard once we have that we can add extras. Another great benefit to a skilltimer server is that you don't need a high population. You actually don't need anybody. You can come on it alone or with a couple of friends and just surf. Unlike other servers where a high player count is almost necessary.
  10. Yes we'll make another tf2 server, and we will all play on it and we will all keep it populated and not play other games all day just like we keep CSS populated right guys. Because i heard we all like tf2. On a serious note, nobody here voting yes will play more than a day on it before it dies. Stop wasting your time.
  11. pillows

Do you want to get banned ?
  12. HAGGARD

I'll just leave this here http://www.steam-gamers.net/forum/showthread.php?t=51471
  13. Paladin, but that didn't last long Also it feels like servers outside of CSS don't bring in much players for exactly that reason, there are no admins for people to look up to and join a community
  14. belgium

Thought i'd never see the day
  15. Smoking a pipe

I'd rather enjoy the other small aspects in life. That don't have any smoking involved. I tend to stay away from it all.
  16. I enjoy the game. The only problem is a skill difference is a pretty big deal in this game. But that can be balanced out
  17. I don't take anything either. And it's probably better if you work on your diet then. You really need to eat properly.
  18. Was playing Mg earlier and i noticed how basicly everybody likes soccer etc. Technically soccer wasn't an MG 'thing' so i was thinking we could add more stuff like breakfloor. In SG we always had a blast when we had a breakfloor server up but it didn't have enough variation to keep people interested, but maybe we can add this to MG. And then we can breakfloor on occasion. We could do this we all kinds of special maps. ps: thought it would be handled better here than in map suggestions.
  19. I remember we used to have a ringerslot a long time ago, believe it got removed due to suspicion of ghosting. Though some newer players might learn a couple of things it's a double edged sword really. Personally i think it's not necesary.
  20. Mick and kittens are pretty iconic (lol) scrimmers though. They are well known enough in our lil 'scrimcommunity' to be invited and first pick/ captain. They've been here since the start of SGSGL. And i can't help but make a comparison to the other tournament where even non sg members were allowed.
  21. I suppose we won't be making our own teams then ?
  22. Alot of W's in SG
  23. What makes you think i do. Bro.
