So, @Love was showing me in-game (we did it on different maps, different areas with different light/darkness, etc) and i see that the knife is held very different then a regular knife. I usually buy the knife, so i don't normally see the difference in the handling. I can see why you guys wouldn't want it removed, but there are situations where it is a problem or when people will troll. In my situation that led to this forum post finally being made, the dude (won't say his name as it is not important) was running completely STRAIGHT towards me. The golden knife's handling is not shown towards me, and within the light (in highschool in one of the hallways) it looked completely like a golden knife. So, I obviously kill him. He ended up being a T, but I was being set to be slayed and was told it was RDM. Obviously, it was so freaking hard to tell that it wasn't a golden knife... I will gladly hop into the server and show my example ^.

You have to spot the knife, and that's if you even get the time to before you get knifed, suspect if it is a real knife or not, then proceed to shoot if it is or isn't. OR, people will just pull it out randomly to troll. You can't deny it.

There will always be scenarios where people are confused because there are multiple people who have the Lore skin on. I just got annoyed with it and actually speaking out on it.

Exactly. I don't code or do anything when it comes to these commands, but how hard do you think it would be to do that? Eh, not all the time. Just because for you it can be easy at times, doesn't mean it is for everyone. And a lot of the times it's not... the map can be dark/day time and it can easily affect how people view the knife. For the inventory part, they can obviously keep it and use it. You can still accomplish everything with a golden knife with the Lore skin taken out... You can't be forced to pull out your knife, nor have I really ever heard anyone say it. Stealth can easily be accomplished because what i previously stated.

I'm going to state the obvious... Lore should not be a weapon skin within the !WS command. The skin just allows people to "bait" others into thinking it's actually a golden knife. I and others have been set to be slayed because we killed someone (who was usually a T anyway) because they pulled out their knife and came towards us. It'll just be less of a headache to not worry about if their knife looks like a golden knife from afar/ medium distance. If someone sees a golden knife, they know it's a golden knife...

But i just need to not even think about CS:GO for now. Probably a couple months i'll think about coming back? I will always love me some TTT though

Thankfully. It's an awesome command. I never planned on trying to come to the competitive scene (faceit, esea, etc) but It was still nice knowing i had a great knife ;/

TL;DR I just got scammed and my knife is gone. I know it's a cosmetic, but i worked really hard to get it where it was at (stat trak karambit bright water) and now it's gone. I'm just beyond upset... but I'm done with CSGO for a while. For those who didn't know me, I only really played TTT but dabbed in JB here and there. I'll miss everyone ;)

The issue i'd have with that is people can pick up guns randomly throughout the game that other players picked up before and have someone else's name on it. Would the player who picked up the T's weapon be marked with the DNA? That would get that player instantly killed (and their most likely inno/not the actual T who killed someone). I love the idea of the DNA idea in general. But, it wasn't executed that good. I'm not sure of any ideas that could work (as in being able to be coded, etc) at the moment but I'll definitively be adding as i think of some. (Not this week as i'm on a week vacation with no internet lmao)

Didn't know about the !md part lmaooo. So why can't people have conversation in JB when dead then? (In other words, why are they different in each gamemode?)

In Jailbreak, whenever you die, you are unable to talk to other dead players via voice. Why isn't this in TTT? I feel as if maybe that would really reduce the toxicity, micspamming, random noises (screams, asmr, etc) and would just allow everyone to hear the game without having to hear fellow dead players. For those who don't know, you can do !ma to mute all alive players (which should still be kept) when you die. Thoughts?

That's definitively an idea that can work. For me personally, I start a new recording each round just so its faster uploading (short videos rather than 1 long one) to youtube and just give multiple videos. If they talk in-game, I Print Screen (next to F12 on most keyboards) then go to paint, paste. If you have 2 monitors, crop that one screen and open another paint, post and save.

Yes. I personally hate playing maps that I have absolutely no clue where the secrets are. I literally only know the popular server secrets because those are the only ones picked. If a video can be put up, then I'd consider it staying. Otherwise, I vote to remove and replace!

So before I didn't have my knife available to be used, but now I can. How do I get rid of my WS knife to use my actual knife? It doesn't say to disable the knife.
