sorry gonna have to weigh in here a bit and say that the motherboard design is highly dependent on the price. evga generally makes some of the highest preforming motherboards out there, but you pay for that quality with a massive sticker shock price tag. also since components like solid state capacitors and vram chips are all NOT created equally, there have been shortages . whether they are price fixing again like they did so many times before is unknown, but low numbers of high preforming parts = big price increases. its why ddr3 ram and top end motherboards are very expensive compared to the comparable ddr2 stuff once they broke the price fixing scheme. as for the various differences in the core i3-i7, the chips themselves besides larger cache and faster speeds, also have better binned cpus (an i7 that under preforms may become an i5 with the bad area locked off) similar to the amd xII and x3 processors that all started as 4 cores but had some disabled or slowed down due to not passing QC. Its called lower binning. the higher level of the i sxeries supports more fuctions ie the x58 motherboards with the i7 9 series support sli/CF with both cards at 16x. and require matched sticks of memory (generally ddr3) and best performance is seen with 3 sticks in triple channel. the i7 8 and lower use a different socket and support 1 PCIE card with full 16x speeds, they may run similar speeds but are more mainsteam processors and combinations to reduce sticker shock (I7-9 x58 motherboards are generally 250-350 for an enthusiast board) the I7-8 series are fine processors, especially for gaming, but they are cheaper with less enthusiast stuff included to make it easier for the market to handle. i5 was aimed at the office or basic gaming people who dont need any bells and whistles and the i3 is for people who just need a pc to do email internt and such. while the i3 is positioned as a very good mobile processor and laptop, it is not a gaming processer.

if you mean ddr3 at 1333 in a 1000 slot yes you can, the mem has to be a matched set though. (same mem sticks in the same slots)

they used to before corsair got a handle on their own stuff. I used to review that stuff and asking for specific new models generally resulted in a have you already reviewed a psu by X (coolermaster, pcpower and cooling, foxconn etc) OCZ was a big rebadger of the designs as well back then, I don't keep up with them these days, but it was always funny to read about "HOT NEW PSU!!!!111!!!" which was the same one that came out the month before with a few different loomed connectors.

the 380 is a barely shortened 9mm, the idea was to get 9mm esc stopping power and penetration with a even more concealable frame and less weight. they DO NOT interchange with 9mm bullets.... (don't ask me how many times I've seen idiots try.) I swapped my 1911 to pachmeyer grips, and have a slightly lightened ambidextrous safety coming in and gonna clean up and polish the feed ramp and smooth the trigger a bit more for a crisper break. well corsair has a pretty good warrenty, so i wouldn't be too worried, but test each component separately so you dont fry anything else if one part did get a jolt

type in console net_graph 3 watch the choke number if it shoots to above 10 anytime other then round starts in cs:S or any valve engine then you have a problem with your vid card settings or the performance of your vid card. if you are getting choke drop your visual effects down one notch and try again. this is something you can see very blatantly if people throw alot of HE grenades or flash nades. also make sure your rates are correct cl_cmdrate 101 cl_updaterate 100 rate 25000 fps_max 200 or less
