a 7200 rpm HDD is fine for games. the only difference you may have to load up times for booting an OS with a raptor. 1TB is an obvious choice.

you may need to to a complete uninstall of the old drivers.

i've got an asus 1000he. i love going to class for a week and not charging it. but yeah, if you're on the market for a netbook, try to get one with the nvidia ion on it. it'll make a much better experience overall, but a bit more pricey obviously.

you could get such a beast tower if you made it yourself with that kind of budget

nice idea for the experience alone. i've seen a mini-ITX board get put in a transformers kiddie lunch box, and run windows 7 on it. that was kinda cool to look at.

i'm having issues finding the servers period. I enter in the IPs to add in favorites but they don't respond, nor can I find them in-game. Is there another way? Gametracker doesn't have this game yet in the list, so I can't get in that way either.

your pop-up messages make it seem like your computer can't see your actual video card, but giving those messages through your onboard video. if you have a dx11 card, then that is definitely funky. maybe disable the onboard video in your bios?
