  1. In Soviet Russia, e-fighting wins YOU!
  2. Steam UI 2010

    it looks good so far.
  3. Sound Cards

static happens with improper output configuration, or you have some leftover old drivers that were improperly uninstalled. I have an X-Fi, and I like what it can do. The box says that it can only go 24-bit and 96 KHz, but my sound settings in control panel are set to 24-bit 192 KHz. Auzentech makes some solid cards as well, and good drivers. However, their customer service isn't very responsive, but still, the cards are solid. The Xonars are nice cards, but for gaming, go for creative. For music, Auzentech.
  4. i've got cowbell fever as well. solved it by getting me a phenom ii though
  5. Newegg's customer service rocks bro. I've only talked to them once, and they gave me a free WiFi card for it
  6. Laptop issue.

you should go get a cooling pad. that may not completely solve your problem, but it'll definitely help
  7. the games should run ok, though you may experience a slight FPS drop. 64-bit works fine with less than 4GB, but it also lets you get more than 4GB of ram
  8. AGP is pretty much the older standard for video card slots. Now modern machines use PCI Express (PCIe) Now, without having to upgrade the power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102829&cm_re=low-profile_video_card-_-14-102-829-_-Product http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814187063&cm_re=low-profile_video_card-_-14-187-063-_-Product http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814134089&cm_re=low-profile_video_card-_-14-134-089-_-Product These aren't the best, but they're far superior to onboard video, and cheap too. And FYI, check out this site: http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp so that you can get a ballpark estimate whether or not any card can run with a 300W PSU. Now if you upgrade your PSU, then that would open up your options significantly. The cards that were recommended by our fellow SG are darn good ones, and would be a huge upgrade. Hope that helps!
  9. A simple proposal

    agreed.
  10. well, then a low profile card is what you need to look for. if he bought it 3 months ago with a warranty, no way is it AGP.
  11. Happy Valentines Day

my thoughts exactly. i'll pay for rehab TCP
  12. 4chan alone deserves a fail for you. . . jk
  13. 32-bit does 3.3 GB of memory, which counts both RAM and VRAM, so if there is 4GB of ram and 1GB of VRAM, it'll come out to about 2.3 GB of usable memory. but yes, i totally agree. Why get 32-bit with 4GB? while true, the 3.3ish GB is a OS limitation. 32-bit windows server have taken 16GB of usable ram.
  14. check out on newegg.com and type in low-profile video card. there are some with 128-bit memory, so that should be a good solution for a 300 watt PSU. Seriously though, 300 watt is puny. Think about upgrading that before anything else. Just my 2 cents.
  15. I like how it changes account settings to hacks haha
  16. that's why i lowercased the b. if it was GB/s then that's gigabytes. lowercased is bits. i know, i'm A+
  17. yo with them not ever deleting information from Google usage and collaborating with the government, I can see the internet services run by them a bit strict. but you can't argue with 1 Gb/s connections. insane in the membrane.
  18. feel free to rocket me again anytime

  19. Need Help!

yes, confirmed. cookie saw it just fine
  20. pm if you wanna know about hacking a physical psp. i've done plenty of modding. oh, and try a google search of iso to pbp converter, and something should pop up. commercial games really aren't emulated aside from titles like bubble bobble, but you may be lucky?
  21. Windows 7 ?

yes more ram would be great, but you can install 7 as your rig is
