The box says that it can only go 24-bit and 96 KHz, but my sound settings in control panel are set to 24-bit 192 KHz. Auzentech makes some solid cards as well, and good drivers. However, their customer service isn't very responsive, but still, the cards are solid. The Xonars are nice cards, but for gaming, go for creative. For music, Auzentech.

you should go get a cooling pad. that may not completely solve your problem, but it'll definitely help

Now if you upgrade your PSU, then that would open up your options significantly. The cards that were recommended by our fellow SG are darn good ones, and would be a huge upgrade. Hope that helps!

32-bit does 3.3 GB of memory, which counts both RAM and VRAM, so if there is 4GB of ram and 1GB of VRAM, it'll come out to about 2.3 GB of usable memory. but yes, i totally agree. Why get 32-bit with 4GB? while true, the 3.3ish GB is a OS limitation. 32-bit windows server have taken 16GB of usable ram.

check out on newegg.com and type in low-profile video card. there are some with 128-bit memory, so that should be a good solution for a 300 watt PSU. Seriously though, 300 watt is puny. Think about upgrading that before anything else. Just my 2 cents.
