Thank god Post said it first. Guys, we are a community, not the jury. Yes, Cam almost did something illegal, but you aren't looking at it from his side. He probably didn't know he was doing something illegal. If the president of the United States gave you 100,000$, that would be stealing too, from the taxpayers. The point here is that you can overthink anything and make it seem terrible. As a community, we should be here to support Cam, as he probably feels pretty embarrassed, or even ashamed with himself. And he lost something of emotional worth, as we have all seen from CSGO Case opening videos, people hold emotional value in knives and crap. Basically what I mean is, relax people. He lost something, and is trying to spread the word to keep others from sharing the same fate. Thank you, Cam.

Actually, I had used this myself, and it was pretty neat. It had stats from before I used the program and was a handy little confidence boost when my teams stats were higher. It seems like the program has changed from when I used it a few months ago. The only reason I uninstalled the addon, was because I couldn't figure out how to post in chat the stats for the Terrorist team. It only seemed to work for the CT team. Sent on Mobile

I'm going to try and draw this to a middle ground here, or at least draw a middle line. None of these ideas are my own, just taken from this thread and reworded. People (MrMuesli, LampShade, All Ts) want to see more mapping in the community, however they understand that it requires motivation to do mapping. The SG staff are willing to reward mappers and are capable. SG (as a business, not the community) doesn't want to add a new rank to reward mappers, but that's not the only way to show recognition to mappers. SpikedRocker introduced the idea that recognition takes effort, and that the amount of recognition received should be dependent on the effort given. Now, here is my idea. We (SG as a community) have the rank Honorable Gamers. The tag is described as "players that have contributed more than the average player". This could be the rank given to /devoted/ mappers. Or, alternatively, submitted maps can be seen as effort put forth in improving and advancing our servers and our community as a whole, therefore, the staff could grant months of sub per map accepted. Just some food for thought.

That C4 beeps and doesn't explode on interaction. In GMod, the body said "unidentified body" even when you looked at it from a distance? So you knew it was an Unid. It's not that different. And it would still work the same. Someone walks over, attempts to ID, it explodes and their body fills the place. The only difference is in GMOD, you could carry the bodies around, but I don't think you can with the way grabber works. That's the point. Deception. Death. Have you played TTT? Sent on Mobile

Gmod had an add-on for TTT that allowed Traitors to spawn Un-Identified bodies and whenever anyone hit "+use" near it, they exploded. Is this possible is CSGO? If it isn't possible to spawn a body, is it possible to rig a current body to explode?

Wat. It's super handy, and is the second thing I buy after Kevlar. Usually, I buy it late game, when theres under 5 total people alive, and it keeps that awkward "are we the only two people left?" situation from coming up. It also tells you who saw what when it happened, and can give away a whole group of Traitors at once.
