Well considering that most Dust 2 servers are over seas, and I based that judgement on some googling I did trying to find one myself. There's a few different places were people have been upset at the fact that most of the servers were either high ping/DM's/or just Comp servers with low player caps. Not to mention I hear it a lot in the normal matchmaking just simply due to the lack of moderation in valve servers. This is all just from personal observation, I mean I'm not going to keep pressing the issue if you honestly feel it won't come back to it's former glory and a simple no will absolutely suffice.

So I'm looking to get a new Headset, and I'm looking for quality and durability. Preferrably something that's more metal than the cheap ass plastic they are constantly making them out of. I've been looking at a few of the SteelSeries but I'd like to get some other recommendations. As it currently stands I use the Logitech G430 and I really love the headset, but as I said they break far too easily for my liking especially at the ear piece where the headphone is connected to the head band. My price range would be anywhere from $100 - $200 give or take depending on the quality.

Mine was created on September 18th, 2011 and the first game I bought was Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead to play DayZ when it was first getting started.

If there is a switch to Discord, I personally will never use it. To be fair, I prefer Mumble over TS as well, simply due to privacy reasons as nothing is ever logged and seen by anyone else other than who is chatting with us. For awhile there, there were bots going to public discords spamming child pornography and with a service that easily allows you to spam pictures in the public chats, I don't honestly recommend it and could see toxic players getting out of hand, which would require a lot more moderation not only on the servers but on the discord as well. Honestly I think TS is only useful if you feel like paying for the slots and have a large enough community to support it, otherwise Mumble has always been the better choice just for it's simplicity and free use.

I never do this because it's honestly a very confusing Simon says command, but I agree that if given the command "Simon say's look at me at all times" *T's stare* "Simon say's do a 180", this automatically cancels the look at me at all times due to the fact that you forced them to look away from you. Now as for the 360, I would assume the command can still stand as it lets the T's just do a circle and their line of sight falls right back onto Simon anyway. As I said, it's very confusing and could potentially lead to a freekill. Personally I think Simon say's is an overplayed death game and I usually never take part in them when it's specifically that unless I want to get close to Simon anyway and slice him up just to stop it.

I started when I was able to comprehend what I was doing on a PC with my Father showing me a thing or two and letting me play Commander Keen. Ever since then I've been hooked, soon playing GTA, Delta Force, and CS when they released. I've witnessed the changing of games over the years, and they have come a loooooong way.

I'd like to see this added, we need more maps in the rotation. I'm not too fond of dark maps, but this one was well made. Hope it gets put in!

This is exactly how I go about it, though I don't force someone to drop it. If they refuse, it just makes them highly suspicious, because the last thing I would want to do is leave a fellow inno defenseless by making them drop their gun. I'm a bit more lenient when it comes to the M4A1-S mainly due to the fact that some Detectives prefer a different gun and just drop it all the time, but it still doesn't mean I won't ask if I feel the need to.

I think the biggest thing about porting a map from GMod is if the map uses materials from other games such as hl2, hl2ep2, CS:S, ect.. so you have to not only port the normal map but also the materials used from those other source games. From what I've been reading, you basically just extract everything from the .GMA, but as I said there's a good chance it uses materials from the other source games.

You'd honestly be surprised at how many people look for a US hosted casual server that's moderated, I wouldn't even be opposed to it having map rotation and not being just dust 2. Any input on a server other than Casual Dom? I mean, I would of suggested a BR style server but having played on most of them, it just didn't feel like it was made very well.

So I was talking with WaWa in game a bit and he mentioned that most of the servers are practically dead and don't get used so there could be a possibility that this server could make a return. I first started out on the Casual Server and it was by far one of my favorite. I'm not sure why it was removed given it's popularity and how many people played on it. I am constantly looking for a NORMAL Dust 2 Casual server but there's nothing but Comp servers with all map rotations and DM's.. not even good DM's either, all they are is a cluster fuck of horrible spawns. One might say, "But there is a Dust 2 Only Casual in the normal game". Okay sure, if you enjoy playing with closet cheaters and the overly toxic public matchmaking people. I looked through the Archive and didn't see anyone mention the return of this, so I figured I'd bring it up.

From what I gather porting maps isn't overly complicated, and if it's possible to snag this one it would make a great addition

I remember playing this map on another server and never ran into any real problems. I think the TTT Map pool is lovely in size, but honestly most of those maps never get to see the light of day. I tend to keep some things to myself, even if it means that I might die to a T without being able to call them out. I find that it let's them keep the ruse that they are inno so they are not aware that someone actually knows and thinks they are still being sneaky like FLuiD had mentioned. Then you just have to deal with the possible complaints that you "RDM'd", so as always it's a good idea to be recording just so you can cover your own ass.

For some reason I can't get an image to show in my forum signature, no link works with the "insert image" button, so I'm sort of at a loss. Also the insert image button allows two options when doing a normal thread which are "Insert URL Link" or "Direct Upload", but when editing your signature you only get the "Insert URL Link" option. Any help would be appreciated, maybe I'm just an idiot and am overlooking something.

Thank you all for providing your thoughts, I never had any expectations that this would make any headway. I do agree however with the removal of RDM rank, I see people like Pizza and a few others killing people randomly with no excuse other than to raise their rank higher. Honestly it should be a "Just kidding, we put this in just to see who the mass RDMers are" rank and ban the top 10. A bit harsh? I would have thought a punishment like that would be a bit overboard, but after seeing the RDM rank added and seeing how many people just kill all willy nilly is kind of sad. Especially when you are a regular to the server and know the rules well enough that getting to the top of an RDM leaderboard isn't something you'd want to accomplish. And it's not about having too much Karma, It's just a means to use it instead of having it reset, and I mean really the max karma bonus isn't that great to begin with. Also, the detective wouldn't have access to this shop, just Innos. But like I said, it could be anything in the shop. I think this all just stems from there being fewer !menu items to begin with. If anything bring back the Newton launcher R3tro!

Like I said, it doesn't have to be anything overpowering, and it's completely up to the staff as to what an inno could buy. Maybe a Med Pen for like 3k karma. I mean the JB server is unique with it's own rules and what have you, so why can't SG's TTT be unique? It's just here for you all to think about.

So the whole Karma reset got me thinking, perhaps Innocents could have their own shop using the Karma gained. Nothing overpowering mind you, but maybe a chance to buy some things to help innocents survive. It would create a karma sink which would remove the wipe because you could spend the score and would give an incentive to not RDM and earn more Karma. I'm not entirely certain on the source code required to pull it off or if it's even possible. Just figured I'd throw the idea here to get some of your noodles thinking.
