  1. Yeah you can. You can also edit it to have fall damage, which it should, so I don't know why it doesn't.
  2. If a second TTT server is approved, more than likely I would be attending to it as I have been recently with the Vanilla server. Spartan's busy with real life things and what not else being PO, and he doesn't seem to mind too much with what I've done to it so far. That being the case, I would not make it an overboard custom TTT server. Main reason being that downloads are waayyy too long for some custom TTT servers, and also because the more custom things you put on, the more imbalanced the game of TTT gets. The major thing would be trial and error with each new custom item/addon. Things like jihad and Detective weapons and what not would have to be adjusted here and there to make them more balanced and fair, which in all likelihood things could be adjusted and end up even more unfair. The point being, a second "Custom TTT" server would have a rough start and I hope people are aware that it won't be perfect the first few weeks.
  3. How were they different? I never played PB that often.
  4. It wouldn't be two identical servers though? In theory, our regs and others who like Vanilla will keep the original populated while Custom TTT attracts a different player base. Either way it's better to have both servers instead of changing the original and possibly losing players, yeah?
  5. An idea I would rather entertain is setting up a second TTT server that is not Vanilla, and leaving the vanilla server for those that like it. Several regs play there because it is Vanilla. Since we are in process of removing some dead servers, this seems like a good idea to give a go.
  6. This map is gigantic in size, I am trying to get time to add it. I have very slow upload speed, so uploading a map of this size takes me like an hour for the .bsp and like 50 minutes for the .bz2 on fast downloads. Just giving an update, I'm adding it, but won't be until later.
  7. This bothers me, destructible environments destroy FPS of people with lesser computers, and him averaging 60fps as a map maker (who generally have decent computers) is worrisome. You tried this map out on your own?
  8. This is a really old map that was pretty popular. I would like to see more support for it's removal before I consider it.
  9. Added.
  10. Removed.
  11. This was removed. I forgot to respond and move this thread because I don't know how to AO.
  12. I like this map, aside from the fact you can find traitor weapons all over it. I will still put it on and we can try it out.
  13. People just need some time to learn how to adapt to the map. As far as people making it to the secret room, I rarely see that happen. It's easy to figure out, harder to actually do in-game, and almost impossible to guarantee as a traitor you'll be the one to make it. What usually happens is once people realize someone is doing it, they all camp the pre-t room area and wait for them to finish. Then the person who is trying to do it on their own basically never makes it in and stops trying. As far as C4 and whatever else, that is a factor in v3 as well so I don't see the issue...The pre-traitor room can be locked, yes, but if you hear the C4 and go to leave and they lock it, the door unlocks before 45 seconds. You have 15 seconds to hear the C4 which is pretty easy. Alternatively, don't stay in the pre-T room on v6. Like I said, you just need to adapt to the way v6 plays and it'll be fine. Once you realize you can't play it the same way you play v3, you will enjoy it more. I say this because I still see people crowding up in the Pre-T room like they're on V3, then getting whiny and complaining because a traitor locked them in with an incendiary/C4. The Pre-T room was made easier to kill people in for a reason, because when people camp it, Traitors have almost no access to the Traitor room. (Like in v3)
  14. You guys have been amazing, thank you so much for all the support! We should have enough to cover this month's servers AND the VB5 license. Thank you so much for your incredible donations, and Wicked for your offer, I will make sure some higher ups see it! Thanks once again guys!
  15. LOL that's hilarious.

  16. Going to go ahead and move this to not accepted for now. Try to keep server suggestions to games outside of CS:S while we are trying to expand the community.
  17. As stated already by several people: At the moment we aren't looking for more CS:S server ideas, we are focusing on other game servers and will be clearing out our current always-empty servers, or servers that don't generate a population. The major problem with bhop, trikz, scoutzknivez, skill surf, etc. Is that all of them bring a very specific player base that hardly plays any other game modes. We have people that are high rank on skill surf server that don't even join the forums, and Trikz almost no one actually goes to the server's community. They play it for the map and then leave after they get bored. On newer games, players will notice a good server's name to remember where they had a good time playing and hopefully frequent that server.
  18. V7 removed, V6 put on the server. I agree 6 is better than 7. Even if 6 is scared of 7.
  19. Removed for now. Would re-arming it help? Or is the map itself just a bad map for TTT? As far as I remember, community pool is popular on other TTT servers. Perhaps a different version would be better.
  20. This was explained on the page before I think, but I'll repeat it here: These donations are all headed towards this month's server payments, along with paying for VB5 ($200~) and a new design layout (Possibly $50~) for the forums, with this change we will also be making some slight adjustments to ranks and implementing a better donation page. (Which we will attempt to put on more ways to donate) The extra funds will go towards servers as it is, and possibly towards a new server. (Which cannot be hosted on our dedi, for example Rust servers as far as I'm aware) The general point is that these funds would be used to generate some changes around SG which will hopefully breathe some life into it rather than having it stay the same way it's been for the past two or three years.
  21. This is one of the major things being discussed is a matter of our empty servers. We will be clearing them out slowly and putting in new servers to replace them. We have been talking about a full CS:GO conversion of our servers, or perhaps removing the constantly empty servers, replacing them with CS:GO versions of our popular servers. This is being discussed as I said and I can't stress to you enough how much I would like to expand SG beyond CS:S. I'm sorry no real progress has been made in the past, but this effort for change is being driven by myself, other AO's, and the BD's are starting to get on board as well. In light of these posts, I will explain more detail about why we are requesting extra donations through this thread: We want to completely revamp the Forums, we found that if we upgrade our VB (Which to my knowledge has not been upgraded in awhile) to VB5, we will achieve that, and with the new look we would start rolling out new changes to show you guys some actual progress in changing SG. The new VB5 license is about $200 I was told, and this thread is attempting to cover those costs. Extra funds beyond that are just to help make sure we sustain the servers, or put towards any other licenses we may end up needing. Floffy recommended I tell you this in the beginning, and it's my apologies I did not go into further detail about what this thread is about from the beginning.
