Promotions!

Hey everyone,

 

It's been a little while since we've done promotions, but we are excited to announce a few today:

 

First up, we've got two SA's who have been here for awhile and want to contribute more to the community than the current level they are at. They've been around the block, shown activity, and shown dedication. Please welcome SilentGuns and Jake to their new role of Community Advisor! Here is the list of responsibilities SilentGuns and Jake will be performing:

 

• Advise the higher staff on important decisions
  
• Handling player complaints and issuing bans
  
• Moderation of the forum
  
• Give awards to members on request
  
• Keep servers clean from rule breakers
  
• Issue warnings/kicks/bans
  
• Screenshot/demo proof for permanent bans
  
• Request permanent bans via on the forum
  
• Post in-game server problems on the forum
  
• Help in any way to make the servers fun
  

 

Next,we have two new people moving up to the role of Administrative Officer. Both of these CA's have helped out via input, community meetings, new ideas, player complaints - you name it. We are happy to promote Wawa and Crazy Swede! As AO's, Wawa and Crazy Swede will handle the following tasks:

 

• Verify that servers are operational
  
• Reboot dead/lagged servers
  
• Manage player bans/appeals
  
• Assist in training new admins
  
• Handle admin complaints
  
• Handle disputes among fellow admins
  
• Monitor the Teamspeak 3 server
  
• Grant access rights to Teamspeak 3
  
• Search for new maps for all servers
  
• Upload maps to the servers and fast downloads site
  
• Edit map lists & rotations
  
• Issue permanent bans to players via request from SA's
  
• Handle reported posts on the forum
  

 

Last, but not least, we have a member who has been a long-time AO, knows the ropes of server sided management, and has gotten us out of more hot water due to steam updates than we can count. Please welcome Pan32 up to his new role of Technical Administrator!

 

Here is what Pan's new role will involve:

 

• Fix technical issues that arise day to day
  
• Research/manage mods, scripts, and plugins to improve our servers
  
• Develop solutions to improve our servers/mods performance
  
• Discover and fix exploits against our servers/site
  
• Assist AO's when problems arise or others are on vacation
  

 

Give all of these people a round of applause, as they have earned their new ranks.

 

 

Also, we have moved Jager over to Legends. He has been fairly inactive the past several months due to personal reasons, and we all felt like this was the best move for the time being.
