  4. @Insidious on my suggestion, did you just look for yours or did you actually switch between them? my brother had this problem and his mic was under a different name, so try ALL of the options if you need drivers go to the headset manufactorers site and look for it there
  5. why are you trying to make it so complicated right click on your speaker icon in your icon tray, click "recording devices" and make sure your headset mic is selected as the default mic
