No one will stop you guys from buying your own server and if you want to include SG in the name, well as long as we don't get complaints from the server, I don't think we're going to mind the bit of extra publicity. The problem you will have is funding for the server, which is something I can say SG won't be providing to you. Even if you have some successful events in the server over those 6 months, the server would be exactly as you state it and just be for fun not population or bringing in new players. Mainly because L4D2, KF, etc. servers that are found through matchmaking no one cares to rejoin or save in favorites over 75% of the time since they just join it through server finding matchmaking. If you are going to need donations for the server, that would have to be your own problem as well. If you can find members to donate for it then more power to you, but I'm not sure what you are asking for with this thread. If you're asking for permission to buy a L4D2 server and put SG's name on it, I don't think anyone here will have a problem with it. If you're asking for donations/support for the server, I don't think you'll find it. There's not much to be gained off a L4D2 server other than as you already state, ease of use for events and stuff.

Added. I like the map quite a bit. Has a nice indoor area and a pretty decent sized outdoor area, and is armed pretty well considering.

The map is really dark, has a unique mission for Innocents to win, not sure how hard it is to foil for Traitors though. The items you need spawn in the same spot every round so it can lead to a really quick win for Innocents if they all know where the spots are. We'll have to play it more to find that out. It's also quite dark and bigger than one would think. I've added it for now and we'll see how it is when more people play it. Also for whatever reason the author made the map name ttt_fl_hyde instead of faceless_hyde which makes it seem like it's a different map at first when it showed up on the maplist.

Added for now, it seems interesting, there's secrets on the map we couldn't figure out which in my mind makes it more interesting. Most likely will just come down to player testing for now and if people determine it's not good we'll remove it later on. Overall it seems like an okay map, it's all close quarters but it's relatively small.

Hello, I forgot to mention to Subs what they get on TTT. In the future the best way to get in touch about TTT is to just mention me @XeNo or making a thread in TTT section of the forums. This is mainly due to the fact I do not get much free-time to go browsing through all the new threads/posts on the forums. Currently, Subscribers have increased points per minute, they gain 20% more points every 5 minutes than normal players. In the future, they will have certain features put on TTT that are perks just for them and higher ups. At the current moment, the idea is to give you guys chat tags that allow you to create your own custom tag on TTT with whatever combination of colors and symbols/letters you wish. It's not implemented just yet, but will be coming soon. You may,however, request a custom color for your name on the scoreboard via this thread here. TTT was just "Re-opened" on Thursday so I am doing several rolling updates to it that will include new features, of which, some will be Subscriber only.

We won't be switching to Discord. Reasons why: The hassle of convincing the entirety of our TS3 users to download and use a new application most of them have never interacted with before. The servers are not permanently fixed, and anyone can make their own private one with ease. Instead of joining and being in separate channels with friends, they would most likely just make their own Discord server, which isolates people more. It's in Alpha, and it's free. This is probably the biggest reason. There are far too many things that could cause it to shut down in the near future despite constant updates currently. Not enough funding can lead to worse service in the long run, also they most likely will in fact switch to a paid service once it's out of Alpha and there's no telling how much they'll charge. Either one of those circumstances alone is cause not to switch due to unpredictable future sustainability of either the service, or a server on it. Also while it's in Alpha there's guarantee to be bugs or disruptions/exploits people will find to shut servers down, mess with things, and overall cause unstable service to users. TeamSpeak3 has been around for years and is proven to be stable, reliable, and provide everything we need. Whether Discord looks nicer or not doesn't really matter until they prove to be as reliable (or more) and significantly more worthwhile than TeamSpeak3. While I won't deny it looks nice and it has a promising future if they keep it going, I find it to be more akin to trying to run our communities external voice server using only Curse Voice or a constantly running Skype call from a dedicated computer. Not to mention, while somewhat funny, all of the constant references to memes and cat pictures give off an incredibly immature/unprofessional vibe from the people who are developing it. It's like parents who try to say they're hip with the hop music to relate to kids.

You won't lose them, but at the moment I don't have any plans for Donator points at all, so basically I don't think there will be a point in saving them. You never know though! Maybe I'll do something in the future that requires donator points and you'll have 500 points towards it. At the moment, there is no way to "earn" donator points in the Pointshop plugin except through donating real cash, which is why there's no current plans for them since there's no super easy way to implement it.

Putting this on tonight after college. Didn't have time last night. I'll make sure to make an event when we try it out! This will be changed soon. For the free playermodels, there will only be the default gmod models available these first two days. New playermodels will be there soon, but I have to make sure hats and stuff will work for them. (If the model is sized differently, it means every single hat/accessory has to be rescaled specifically for that model)
