  1. Hello everyone! For those of you keeping up with the TTT section of the forums, I have been working towards revamping it and making it more popular and hopefully spark new life into the server. The plans are to bring the server a re-occurring playerbase rather than being a server you play every so often for two to three hours then don't play again. To do this, we had to have something for you guys to work towards. The best solution (and what many other servers already have) is to put Pointshop on the server, giving you an active list of things to work towards and unlock. This caused a lot of frustration for me at first, because TTT as anyone will know is extremely buggy sometimes just as the gamemode itself. However, I'm happy to say I worked out the issues with Pointshop and got in a stable working order enough to the point where I am comfortable re-opening the server and removing the password on it! The process unfortunately took a long time to get done, longer than I hoped, but I had to make sure I knew as much about what's wrong and what is fine with Pointshop and the server itself so that I can do rolling updates over time and not have to worry about wiping player information or breaking things that can't work together anymore. So, what's actually new? Pointshop2 with several items to start out with, prices and point gains are subject to change in the coming weeks, but no player data will be wiped unless absolutely necessary! Several fixes to the Admin system on the server, making it easier for Admins to monitor and take care of the server. Hopefully this will encourage Admins that have never played Gmod to still give TTT a shot! (Everything an Admin really needs can be accessed from the scoreboard) Very minor adjustments to the weapons. Most notably, M16 is a bit more balanced out, and the shotgun has been nerfed. Hopefully it wasn't over-nerfed, but it's fairly significantly nerfed, reductions to damage and increased spray size. Also the AK47 is hidden away for now, but it should be completely ready for a release soon™... Other things that are mostly cleaning up files and stuff that don't really affect you guys at all. That's not a lot for how long the server has been down... I'm sure this is on many people's minds, but all I can say is I'm sorry for this delay, things were more complicated than I thought. However, I have sorted so many things out I should be able to do constant rolling updates/fixes/improvements over the next few weeks to the server. Then what's coming?...Constantly rolling updates! First and foremost: Fixing the Pointshop2 items I had prepared for release and adding them into the Pointshop. Next: Maps list, I would appreciate a very active "Map suggestions and removal" section for TTT if possible to help with this. Simultaneously: Adding one or two new Traitor/Detective items, letting players mess with them for a week or so before deciding to keep them/remove them, and adding new ones to try. Minor aesthetics to load screen/maybe new map voter to make it look more fresh. Pointshop2 additional content: Weapons, betting, achievements, maybe more! And of course more hats. Always more hats. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you join the server between now and tomorrow, AND ONLY TODAY OR TOMORROW!, you will get 500 Donator points in the Pointshop! You can use these 500 points to buy any ONE playermodel currently on the server! At the end of the day tomorrow (October 23rd) I will remove new players receiving these points. P.S. I know it's late and a really weird time to be opening a server, but I didn't want to make people wait until I get back from college tomorrow.
  2. Please don't insult my favorite community by giving the definition of it being this thread.
  3. WZrNFgJeSOw Holy fucking shit though. LOL.
  4. I don't know how exactly the 1v1 plugin works, or maybe it's the maps that has multiple arenas, but I am pretty sure it would not be easy to set up the plugin to be 5v5. I don't think we could do that. At best we could possibly have a 10 slot server that randomizes the teams every round, but that is more or less pointless. It would be nicer to have straight up 5v5 competitive as Lupin is saying, then have the option to scramble teams based on a server vote or something.

  6. First.
  7. Damn. No one bothered to tag me or mention this to me? I'm the one that did this in the first place. I put the immunity's the way that they are for a reason, one that Caution already brought up. Admins are not supposed to use commands on each other, it's strike-worthy, and is not allowed. However, friends slap each other all the time and mess around. The point of the immunity levels being higher is not meant to be some kind of punishment to fellow SAs, nor was it done with "Now this SA can slap CAs all they want cause they paid for it, haha stupid CAs can't target them either". If you get slapped and get pissed about it, then you were slapped in a way that is strike worthy. If you get slapped and are only pissed because you can't do it back to them, most likely that person is your friend who paid for Sub while you did not. There's a reason why it should not matter what immunity they have, if it's seriously an issue, it means that Admins are misusing their powers and should get a strike for it. If the only issue is you can't slap your friends back when they slap you for fun, then I don't see a point in removing the immunity. The extra commands were, for the most part, commands that all SAs had at one point but got them removed. Every command can be game-impacting if used incorrectly, and Admin abuse is still punishable, but the extra commands were only meant to give Subs more creative ways for punishing. Ignite instead of slay, maul at end of a game instead of slay on TTT, etc. I'll edit this post with more info when I'm back from class. You guys are only arguing points that are strike-worthy with or without immunity and therefore I don't see a reason to remove it. If an Admin slaps you and you didn't like it, it's abuse. If you didn't like it because you can't slap them back, tell your friend to knock it off and call it a day. Edit: So I'm back from class and don't really have much else to add. The only thing I would say is that the immunity levels for Subs can remain the same as the normal ranks, but keep the extra powers since they are really not harming anything but giving them a few fun tools that they can use versus the typical slap/slay/mute commands.
  8. Dogs. Because they have a purpose being a pet, and are useful to have. What use and purpose do cats have other than to be looked at and occasionally cute? None. Dogs are more loyal than cats, dogs have been proven to have more attachment than cats to humans. Dogs are more protective than cats, and more proactive. They can be trained to do tricks. They can be trained to be obedient and therefore more useful than cats. Dogs instinctively protect young, and it doesn't matter the species. They protect kids they just met, and protect other animals that would not otherwise fend for themselves, making them more gentle in nature as well as a role model to human kids. Would you rather have a cat that just lays around and gets all pissy when you try to pet them as your household pet with your kid, or a dog who would love and care for you kid while playing games with them? Easy choice, dogs are more valuable family pets. Overall, a dog is worth the investment a lot more than a cat. It's a practical pet, while a cat is like owning a turtle. You get nothing of value in return out of cleaning up after it. This was an overly aggressive post. It does, however, represent the stance of BD's on this matter.
  9. Over the last 8 years, you've spent 5797.2 hours playing this selection, which includes 158 items, is valued at $3026.69, and requires 1145.1 GB
  10. The Queen comes and goes as is necessary to inspire a cult following.
  11. I only hope that at the next CA meeting they inform me that our Mascot will be a silly zombie with wayyyy too many hats. Like 3 hats on top of each other. Silly zombie, that's not how you wear hats.
  12. I would do a 24 hour gaming stream on twitch using SG's channel for Extra Life if we wanted to get involved on that. Make a donation link and all for viewers.
  13. If you're talking about the like 20v20 CS:S match we had against HG, we destroyed them I'm pretty sure. We put our best people on it and they gave the same excuse eGO did when we had a 5v5 scrim against eGO: "We just had fun with it and put whoever wanted to go on the team", even though I think most of their top 10 deathmatch members were on the team. I don't think we've lost a "clan war" of any kind to another community, correct me if I'm wrong. Mainly because whenever we do, the SMFC/Global Elite level players come in to help SG destroy them lol.
  14. I have always found that finding a new map that is not Razor-esque that everyone enjoys is a better alternative than restricting map votes. Increasing the possible "awesome" map choices is better than decreasing the number of popular maps are available to pick from. As Admins, have you done mapvotes to go to other maps and seen how the voting goes? If you vote for a specific map that is not played as often, but it still gets a negative voting when it's the only option, it would be important to know.
  15. It's alright. Don't need to be sorry. I just had no idea who you were and you had added me. I accepted it anyways.

  16. Why did you add me to friends?
