  1. Thanks Bethyy! :d

  2. DarkRP Relaunch! As some of you might have noticed, we have been working on the DarkRP server to (hopefully) make it better. Because we added and changed so much, we came to the decision to do a Relaunch instead! First of all, for some this might be bad news, but we had to reset the money. The economy was broken, and for the changes we had to reset it. But to brighten you up, here are the new things!: *** New F4 menu! *** Our old F4 menu was.. well... old and dull. So now we have replaced it with a much nicer one! *** New HUD! *** So was our old HUD, being old and dull. So here's a new one! *** Drugs Dealer Mod! *** You can now make your own Meth (Note: You need to be the Meth Cook job) Creating Meth can become a bit costly to create, so make sure you come prepared both in cash and skill! Once you have made your precious meth, you can sell it to the Meth Addict, which is lurking in the corner. *** Party System! *** Why play all by yourself while you can team up with friends to build, raid, etc? Being in a party makes you immune to friendly fire, you are able to see each other, and much more! Command: !party *** New Door Display! *** Nothing too special, but it makes it a lot easier to read who owns the doors, and how many co-owners. *** New Printers! *** Our previous Printer system was too basic, nothing special about it, so we changed it. So, we have some new printers, but not only that, you can upgrade your printers to make the print more, print faster, reduce overheating chance, etc! Screw the bank, make your own money! *** And many more changes! *** We changed more stuff, but too many small changes to post here, so you'll have to go figure it out yourself Thanks for all your suggestions! More will be added and changed later on, but for now, enjoy! And Thanks Ace (And I probably forgot someone else..) for supporting us with some purchased addons! 3. It is included in DarkRP (so I did not add it myself because it came with it). I believe it is FAdmin, but I am unsure.

  4. Hey Xeno, could you look into getting the DarkRP connected with Sourcebans, like you did with TTT? Thanks in advance :)

  5. Thanks for answering, I wish you the best.
  6. Sucks to hear this I hope I don't offend you by asking this, but I always wanted to know: How does it 'feel' not having a hand? Have you witnessed any of those ghost-feeling/pain at the spot where your hand used to be? (Serious question, but you don't have to answer if you wish not to, of course). I assume everything is covered by your company's insurances (surgeries, soon prosthesis)?
  7. Currently my parents pay 40 Euros per month for only 30 download and 4 upload (Speedtest: 45 Download and 3.6 Upload). I'm going to run Telenet (big Belgian provider) very soon when I am going to live alone. It would cost me 73 Euros per month, includes internet, television and telephone. The speed is 160 download, which is good, but 10 upload, which I sadly find really slow for the stuff I do, going to try and get something custom done (downgrade download and upgrade upload, doubt they will do this but it is worth trying).
  8. It's just a flesh wound! Jk, Hope you recover quickly and without many issues.
  9. Perp?

Sure, if only it was that easy. That could ban random people or things that should never be banned. The connection list of IPs transferring data was huge, and a lot of IPs that were also heavy data users were things that shouldn't be touched.
  10. Perp?

A whitelist doesn't block or stop DoS and DDoS attacks. I did all that myself back then when we used to have a lot of DDoS attacks, hell most of which is still being blocked (huge IP-blacklist on our firewalls ), doubt I would have the time to redo all this again once we get another Perp server with a possibility of another DDoS series. And paying a company to do this instead? Sure, if we can find that chest with gold on the end of the rainbow, to pay them

  15. IP: 74.91.116.97:27015 You asked for it, we made it. BuildRP isn't your ordinary DarkRP as you know it, no, here you create your own base, with your own props. You build your own creations in order to RolePlay your Class/Job. I don't have much more to say expect to go join and have fun! Want to know how BuildRP works? Click here! Make sure to read our rules! Click here! Big thanks to Sleggie and Xeno for helping set this up!

Made the section for MC: http://www.steam-gamers.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=490
  20. I did quite some research for this a while ago when creating a login system through PHP for websites, had a lot of support from back-end developers, too. Using just a salt and a single hash isn't that great, because it can easily be forced out with a rainbow table attack on the database, which usually doesn't that that long to dehash (speaking of minutes to days, depending on the password used, too). I would suggest hashing that hash at LEAST once again. Also, the salt, the longer the better! (And as obvious as it may sound, don't show this salt to anyone, ever. lol) Here is how I use it on one of the websites I made: $password = MD5(MD5($password.$salt)); (Hint: VB4 uses this same way ^^) Now you may ask, why only twice? It is secure enough for any average website, and it isn't that resource hungry to calculate it (you can go with way more complex algorithms, but it may cause problems when hosting it on big websites with lots of users using the login system). Here is an example what the code would do: $salt = "t5N%>Tj#)1XQnrz(K-VY!S[XS,g*p&5wruksaTvI(9 F99pJUBm"; $password = "Some Random Password"; $password.$salt = "Some Random Passwordt5N%>Tj#)1XQnrz(K-VY!S[XS,g*p&5wruksaTvI(9 F99pJUBm" Then the first MD5 hash becomes = "297b221070c26272917bbcc1670e3b28" Then MD5 hash the previous one again = "84882ab129e63a99d64726d7004e2fc9" Now, good luck with using the rainbow table on that. For websites it is HIGHLY recommended to work with timed cookies (an even bigger pain in the arse to secure this baby) so people can't just steal your precious cookies to login to the website without even needing your password or needing to crack the hashes. For programs you don't really need to do such a system (I don't even think I have seen a program that automatically logs you out after a certain amount of time). Now, most of it is explained towards websites, but it is the same concept for any stand-alone programs, just different ways of hashing your stuff. I hope it helped.
