I've had my steam account since 2003 and only have 25 games lol. But those are only the ones I purchased

Man reading all this makes me feel old lol... I have been playing on Steam since it's very beginnings, think I signed up around November 5th 2003, 12 years of service badge Technically I started WAY before Steam was introduced though with good old HL1 back in 1998/1999, played CS beta for a bit, and then when CS released I played it a LOT, but then got side tracked with the original DoD mod when it was released. I got side tracked again when the original Rainbow Six and Rogue Spear games released and played those on a lobby software called M-Player, which eventually got bought out and turned into Gamespy Arcade. Then when HL2 came out, I got pulled right back into it and CSS, etc. Then stumbled my way onto a ZombieMurder server at some point back then, and watched it evolve into SG and happy to still see it thriving now

For the last 6 years I was doing performances at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure here in Orlando, FL. Mainly as a magician doing shows, as well as juggling and other fun things. Getting paid to mess with people and have fun all day was great, but then Universal decided to cut contracts with almost all their 3rd party shows/shops and so my jorb there is no more as of a month ago or so Now it's back to retail for now (The Container Store!) to pay the rent, etc. Woo.

Ah ok, so even if Windows XP is already on them, booting with the Windows 7 disk will give me the options to partition the entire hard drives? That'll make it easy. I wont need to install it on both then obviously right? Just my master drive, and then I can reformat my slave drive for some extra storage.

So im ordering some new PC parts (Mobo, CPU, RAM, GPU, etc) BUT I am keeping my 2 old HDDs which has random crap and Windows XP installed. I am also buying Windows 7 as well, and want to format BOTH HDDs and install Windows 7 on one of them. My question is, what is the best method of reformatting and installing Windows 7 when my new parts come in? Should I use a program, or just install the HDDs on the new Mobo/CPU and bootup with the Windows 7 disc... What's the best route? I would prefer to have the HDDs totally cleaned off.

Can anyone beat my member since date? Member since: November 5, 2003 My steam rating is mega low cause of non steam games... *cough*MC*cough*

Ya the 5770 is do-able and newegg has the GTX 550ti which I can fit in budget-wise. And ya the 5870 is a bit more than I am willing to spend on a gpu right now. I am just building a base upgrade cpu right now. I will get way more RAM in the next few months as well as a faster GPU. Thanks for the info so far fellas.

My budgets fuckin fine. I have many more important things in life to devote money too rather than my CPU. I just wanted to give myself a minor upgrade, and I think $400 is plenty to do that. I understand the GPU I picked my be lacking, so I may bump budget slightly to get a 256-bit card. And maybe give a reason why I need a better PSU? The 450watt I have right now is only a few months old, and with the setup I listed most people are saying 450 is fine. But if you have some more detail rather than "GET A BETTER PSU", I would like to hear it. Thanks for everyone's input, I took the Thermal Compound off the list, and I am looking at a diff GPU.

Already have a custom case, power supply, HDDs, and DVD burners etc... Looking to spend $300-$400. Only need new Mobo/CPU/RAM/GPU. Is it cheaper/better to get a mobo with different types of integrated graphics? Assumed most come with nice integrated graphics now lol.
