It depends on the laptop. What you need is a laptop where the GPU is connected via a socket however without knowing the exact latptop I cant say if you do. It is also possible to replace it even on a soldered in GPU but thats not going to happen. If you arent concerned about voiding a waranty and do have a laptop with a socket interface for the GPU (uses pins for easy replacement instead of direct soldering) it is quite possible that you could do this. You would however have to keep in mind the increased power draw and thermal output of a more powerfull card so unless you know for sure your laptop can handle the load I wouldnt do it. If however a higher end card was an option when your ordered your PC I should think you are good to do. As to the RAM, unless you have a mac (lawl mac) you should have no problem at all replacing it, just make sure you have the correct type (right interface and dont exceed what your motherboard says it can handle). Its also quite possible to upgrade wireless cards, optical drives, ect. on a laptop just like on a desktop its just that the format does not lend its self to easy access and there are more things to keep in mind. (height of optical drive for example) Post your laptop model here if you will so we can see what is possible for your laptop. Happy to help if you decide to change anything out.

Of course if you REALY want to get this to work but cant be bothered to buy a blu-ray drive for you PC you could plug it into a capture card. Of course those cost more than a BD drive.

I would also highly suggest you buy some arctic silver 5 thermal compound because the stuff they put on OEM just isnt as good IMO.

one is socket AM3+ and the other is socket FM2.

It looks to me like your CPU will not work with that motherboard.

My biggest concern is not that they will screw up COH2 at launch but that they will mess up the support down the road. COH1 had continued support for years.

I swear if Sega so much as touches a single texture in COH 2 I will be seriously pissed off.
