Sorry, can someone explain this whole "changing the core" mindset to me? We hosted a JB Knife Tournament twice now, it completely changes the gamemode. It's literally not Jailbreak anymore, it's just knife fighting. Are events being rejected because they change how TTT normally works? I don't play TTT a lot, so I'm genuinely curious as to why I see this all the time.

I think there's some posts that are useful when they are responding to others and some that are just unnecessary and probably will cause unneeded posting. It should probably just be up to CA discretion on whether or not it contributes anything to the application. Currently though, there is no gray area, people aren't supposed to be responding to each other at all. This rule has been getting completely ignored, even when I've reported a post for it. I have no idea what the deal is with that, but it's extremely confusing.

There can absolutely be harm done if the managers use these polls as a reason to keep or remove a map. If a map is not making the server do well I wouldn't want a bunch of people who like the map voting no for removal then the managers thinking they should keep it. Writing out a post is necessary so we can see points on each side and not "this person wants it to stay, but these people want it removed". It may not seem like a big deal, but the map selection is what makes or breaks a server's success and it's pretty important that you flesh out the map pool very well. Letting managers potentially get the wrong idea from these polls does not help with that.

I went and saw Aquaman, that shit was fire. Other than that, just sat at home with family.

Can we remove these polls on map suggestions and removals? They're useless, they don't provide anything to the managers and it's pretty much the equivalent of having a poll on admin applications. These polls shouldn't be used to decide on additions/removals so there's no point in having them. People should state their opinions in the thread, with valid reasoning.

I'm really not seeing the problems here that are worth this being removed. Like I said, unless some testing is done and people generally dislike the map there is no good argument here for removal.

I think the map should undergo personal testing from the SRs or ATs. When we added it, it was because we were looking at other servers and it was one of the top maps on a couple servers. The map also seemed like it would fit our server and from what I could tell it did well when I played it. Saying everyone hates it isn't really an argument and is probably an exaggeration. I can see the argument for removal because of the Warday spot, but is there actually a button that activates it and forces Ts to partake in a Warday? From what I remember, it's literally just a spot that says "Warday" and then it's just a big house. If I'm wrong and there is a button, it can probably be removed really easily with Stripper. Nonetheless, if the map does well on the server, we shouldn't remove it because of some section that has a word for something we don't allow. With how much they play this is on other popular JB servers, I'd suggest some in-depth analysis of whether or not the map is doing well when it's played, because it not being voted for is not a good argument either.

Shouldn't it just show the basics of Jailbreak and the base set of rules that will probably go unchanged? If you go step by step through all the rules, once one of them changes, the video will be outdated. Probably best to keep it short and sweet and allow people to use it just to understand the main idea of the gamemode they're playing along with the basic concepts if they're coming from another server, like no wardens.

Maybe with the influx of admins we should open those reviews to admins as well. We have admin complaints, but there might be stuff people have to say about admins that don't necessarily call for a complaint for abusing their powers. I'd also like to submit reviews, but some people aren't even on the list in their proper rank yet.

Are ARK and DarkRP still being worked on? Both sections are pretty barren and no updates have been put out about them. I'm not sure if there's stuff going on with them behind the scenes, but unless developments are being made and displayed to the public it looks extremely bad to still be endorsing them in my opinion. I know it doesn't necessarily hurt us, but I also don't think it looks good to have servers we never touch or attempt to make adjustments to in order to improve performance.

We're halfway through December, any updates on this?

Yeah, your size limit increases as you go up the ranks. For instance, AT is 200x300 while LG is 150 x 250.

Map Removal Full map name jb_outdoorjail_v2fix Type of map Jailbreak Why should we remove it The armory door doesn't automatically close anymore, pretty horrible glitch. Also accompanied by the glitch where you can see people through the door on radar, if that still exists. Overall though, the map is just extremely shitty imo. Some of the doors kill you when they close, which is just inconvenient and annoying. The vents are extremely small and it actually takes multiple tries to get in. Most of the games/places aren't even used, the gameplay on the map is extremely stale. It's a great example for when you make the argument that our server is just "go here, go there". I think it'd benefit the server if we completely removed this but there are a couple redeeming qualities so I can understand if there's disagreement. Nonetheless, the armory door glitch needs to be fixed because that's pretty detrimental to the gameplay, at least to me.

Hey, currently the awards are very inconsistent and they don't look very good when they're together. Each award has sets of lines in them, I guess that's just our style, but the lines in each award is different. Some are thicker/thinner, a lot of them differ in alignment, and some are even black while most are white. They just don't look good next to each other. Perhaps the Media Team could be tasked with making them look consistent, or if that's not a plausible proposal right now then someone else can volunteer. I just thought it'd be worth mentioning.

Sorry, I was definitely a bit misleading with the original post. They didn't specifically block the post pictures of yourself thread, you can't view any introduce yourself threads. That's just the thread I attempted to view. I don't really see the argument for the pictures of our members thing, since someone can easily make a forum account and see them, but wanted to clarify that.
