  1. Actually pretty excited for this event, thanks slave modder @20 scrolls!!!!!!!!
  2. Thread was answered by @I just lag, not toggle! People are allowed to have [SG] in their name outside of SG servers, as we don't have any control there, it's just if they come into SG using it they'll get punished for admin impersonation. In general, you shouldn't even bother adding or reading messages from accounts that look suspicious or that you don't know. If it indeed was an account pretending to be someone you know, the least you can do is report the account to steam, but that doesn't always go a long way anyway.
  3. The event ended earlier today when I shut down the server, thanks for hopping on and playing everyone! If you'd like to see more things crackhouse related please leave a reply and tell us! If you have any suggestions/comments go ahead and let us know as well.

  11. @Steven.: "I'm going to punch @Caution for breaking my shit"
  12. Seeing the work put in by both @Damon and @20 scrolls has been impressive, and honestly motivating. No matter how much scrolls complains, moans, or bitches, he gets the job done. Great work the both of you, I do think that KZ will do well in our community. Best of luck to both of you in managing Minecraft Parkour in CS:GO.
  13. Mis-said what I intended, not everyone goes out like a retard, just the children @Dominic
  14. When leaving the community, for either IRL stuff or other reasons, choose to either go out blissfully or wreak havoc because in reality they're still a child. Those with Honorable Gamer/Veteran/Legend are some of those people who use their brains, and actually care about this place enough to not be a menace. Remember though, there are still a lot of people at the community who've helped it get to where it is today, with or without a recognition rank or being staff! The beautiful thing about a community this old is that so many different people helped out in so many ways to get it where it's at now, so that's something you can truly appreciate; You're gaming and hanging out in a place shaped by the hands of thousands.
  15. Guys, this thread is about how terribly @Starlegendgod will get dogged on, not how a joke hurt someone's feelings. Anyway, reminder the event is in three days! I've been working on getting the server ready for ya'll, but due to map limitations the server will only have 30 slots. Sooooo.... if you want to be able to play and crush @Starlegendgod make sure to show up on time! Friday @ 7PM EST, Be there!
  16. Incase you were wondering, if you were to look at permissions IAs and SMs have access to the same commands in-game. IAs do have their own little chat and subforum we obviously can't see, but in-game since we're equal I can totally dog on @Maniac and smite him.
  17. @Starlegendgod If you want to know some more history check the About section on the website: https://steam-gamers.net/about/
  18. No, I knew little to nothing coming in as a server manager in relation to maps and models. There are resources, websites, and guides available to us (anyone really), and we get basic training from the Lead Server Manager who explains some stuff. I'd say your first month of working with models is a bit messy, but you get used to stuff quickly. The Modding Team (and cutie @20 scrolls ) is there to help with any mapping issues. Yes, and CA+ promotions have training.
  19. Well, as the Jailbreak & FFA server manager I am responsible for all things in that realm. That means if there's a discussion on the forums, issue in-game, bug, or event, I'm responsible for keeping up with everything and making sure the server is running smoothly. While Server Managers are more focused on their own server, we typically collaborate with other teams, and community advisors, on projects for the whole community or our specific server. It's all about making sure our players are having a good time and everything's running smoothly.
  20. No, each rank has its own permissions depending on what their position entails/requires. For example, a Community Advisor won't have access to the server files like a Server Manager would. Each rank has access to its own section on the forums, but can't see another ranks section. The only place where people of the same rank have different positions is the Technical Team, where depending on their expertise and focus they will only have access to that stuff (I think).
  21. I got this one boys... Once you receive admin you get a private message from a Director linking you to many guides that include the ban protocol, times, and staff policies. Our current ban protocol is Warn -> Ban, but admins are advised to be lenient depending on the who they're dealing with and what the situation is. You can view the ban protocol, times, and racism policy in this announcement thread created by Caution. Admins can receive Admin Strikes for breaking the admin rules, listed here . You can see all the admin strikes given here. No, you will not ever be banned/demoted for no reason, the Internal Affairs Team and Board from my experience has been lenient, and doesn't jump the gun, usually giving warnings before punishments. All admins can apply for CA through the application only visible to them, and then CAs can apply for SM to the application only visible to them, and so on and so forth. For some specific positions like Lead Advisor/Lead Server Manager I believe you need to express your interest in that position rather than apply for it. Rulebreakers all really fall into three categories, trollers, newbies, or nazis. Trollers are easy to catch and you can deal quick punishments to, and are often the easiest and most enjoyable to deal with since they'll crack jokes too. For trollers, most of a time a /kick or serious warning will get them to stop, but if they're being malicious you can just easily give them a ban Newbies can sometimes be frustrating to deal with, as you try to help them out in many ways but they fail to read at all. Usually, newbies will break rules by accident or get angry they died and start breaking rules. In the case where it was an accident, they normally get off the hook with a warning and explanation of what happened. Nazis typically stick directly to the rules, or abuse them in their favor. While not always rule breaking, these types of players are the most stubborn and aggravating.
