  1. Thanks for pointing that out, that was a typo on my part... fixed
  2. I think @Manny mentioned that @Dominic said this would likely be a new forums thing and it wouldn't be worth it to put in the work now...
  3. A minor suggestion. At the moment if you die in an explosion you don't get an extra death. Certain players have been abusing this to bait their entire team and not go for objective if there's even the slightest indication they may lose to protect their KD. It may help solve the problem to make deaths to bomb count in their KD.
  4. Assist - 1 point Kill - 2 point Exploding the bomb (team) - 2 points Defusing the bomb (team) - 2 points Player defusing the bomb - 4 points Seems like a lot of points for a single player to receive (2+4=6) for just defusing a bomb, considering there's no T-side points for planting a bomb. Defusing a bomb doesn't really warrant 6 points just for a single action tbh. We may want to reconsider these extra 4 points because it encourages baiting to be the last CT alive to defuse.
  5. Stemming off a conversation on TS with @Cept For Her and @Manny - I strongly feel that the Retakes server should disable friendly fire with the exception of molotovs. Right now there is no team damage, period, but having friendly fire off for molotovs means you can molotov a choke point and your teammates can push through it without repurcussion. This is the same logic that was used to enable friendly fire for molotovs on scrim - retakes was meant to simulate retake scenarios in actual competitive play. Being able to push through your teammates' molotovs is not competitive in the slightest. Please reconsider your stance on this .

  7. The CT ranks system was implemented to directly be a counterpart to the Gangs plugin that Ts have. The "rank" of Ts is measured in the success of their gang. The "rank" of CTs is measured in how long they play on CT, as this is the only way to prevent CTs from taking advantage of any other points system and become extremely strict and toxic in their orders. If we were to add another form of "rank" for Ts, it seems like an oversaturation of points systems considering we also have GameMe on the server. While I can see the reason why you would suggest this, I don't really think this would bring much benefit.
  8. @Manny and I discussed this for while and came up with a beautiful and elegant solution. As part of the LR rules a T makes, he can say "S4S, don't use nyan cat". Nyan cat is a taser so it can be dropped or used. If a CT picks up nyan cat during the LR he will have broken the rules, thus cheating the LR which is against the rules. Simple solution with no need for an additional rule or banning of the secret. If the secret is broken and causing people to disappear, please make a map fix request. Thanks .
  9. @Strayyz is listed because he was SA at the time the contest started... I assume he put himself in there to keep the voting consistent
  10. @Nishok @Liam Brown Is there any .toLowerCase() functionality when matching commands?
  11. The JB team reviewed this and felt as though this wasn't really necessary at this time considering the potential for abuse and bugs compared with the benefits. Thanks for the suggestion though .
  12. If everything is working as intended, chat orders given with !fo should show up in a notification. We'll (@Manny) will look into this is still the case, but because of this we feel it's not necessary to ban chat orders in !fo at this time. Thanks for the suggestion though .
  13. Brought this suggestion up to the JB team and we feel as though this isn't necessary. However, other teams may feel like it is so I'll leave the thread open for them.
  14. This isn't something the JB team is looking into at the moment because we do not want to restrict the maps people can play at any time, but this might be something that other ATs might want to look into so I'll leave this thread open.
  15. There's still lots of room on the regular side!!! Come help your other regulars not get SMACKED BY ADMINS
  16. While I can see where you're coming from @Phoenix_, in reality not many people are going for headshots on JB/TTT. Removing these hats to cater to an extremely small group of people who actually care about the headshot hitbox being obscured seems unneeded TBH. Good suggestion though.
  17. The discussion is still open for anyone to post their thoughts, so I'll post mine . Talking with @Exk, it seems the effort required to duplicate the existing scrim server wouldn't be too much and the second scrim server wouldn't be a large burden on the resources we have. While school is starting up soon, it wouldn't hurt to have a second scrim server for a few more weeks just to feed the current demand and reduce wait times. Whether the second scrim server remains after school starts would depend on server population, but for the time being I don't see any harm being done. Scrim is one of those servers that is extremely easy to start up, and it's not like there would be two half-empty servers. People would move to fill one server up before filling up the next, so there's no harm of the servers killing themselves. tl;dr: Present demand suggests the need for a second scrim server. Whether the demand will stay as a result of school starting soon remains to be seen. To reduce effort wasted in case of the population dying down when school starts, we can duplicate the existing scrim server. The key is to spend as little effort as possible creating a second scrim server before monitoring population and deciding whether we can revamp this server or do more.
  18. We still have a couple weeks left of summer and I wouldn't think it'd be much effort to duplicate the existing scrim server for a few weeks... @Exk thoughts?
  19. While I like the idea behind this (introducing players to new maps while having comfort maps to select), my reasoning for not supporting this idea is the same reasoning I'm against removing popular maps like Razor even though they're overplayed. Why should we force players to select from a map pool that they don't enjoy playing? Once those "1-4" big maps are played the only thing left are obscure maps that the majority of the server population don't enjoy playing. So again, while the suggestion has good intent, I feel it's more practical to keep the map pool the way it is and let players choose the maps they want to play as opposed to limiting their options.
  20. Fair. I feel like a fair compromise would be renaming !calladmin (where the command sounds like it's calling offline admins to come online) to something like !report so players don't hesitate to use the command. This is something that shouldn't be enforced. Abuse of !calladmin entails someone reporting for invalid reasons or using the command maliciously, not using !calladmin when an admin is online. The reason behind why this was not allowed in the past was because it would send a report to Discord even if an admin is online, resulting in two admins dealing with the same situation. Now that the plugin doesn't send a report to Discord if an admin is online, there is 0 point punishing players for using !calladmin when someone is online. I will bring this up again to the admins so it's crystal clear. Thanks for the suggestion .
  21. Huh? You can - I just did it. And you don't need to type a sentence. You only need to type a sentence if it's a custom reason, but there are pre-defined reasons that you just have to click. 1 button press to select a player, 1 button press to select a reason. A report gets sent to an admin in-game. Regardless of its original intent its current purpose and functionality matches !fk perfectly. !calladmin still gives a report in-game if an admin is online. So indeed, !calladmin is both "admin there's a freekiller" if there is an admin on or "no admin nee help" if there is no admin online. Why does a 6 character difference between !rdm and !calladmin justify a completely new plugin T_T.
  22. Huh? !calladmin is two button clicks to report someone, so it is a quick notification. I agree with the first point, but your suggestion was to add !rdm similar to !fk. !fk puts a message in chat for in-game admins that someone has freekilled. !calladmin puts a message in chat for in-game admins that someone has freekilled. Isn't that the same functionality? In fact, !fk doesn't do anything if no admins are online AFAIK, but !calladmin sends a notification to Discord. So wouldn't you want !calladmin instead of !fk, regardless of what the response time is for calladmin on Discord?
  23. Already answered: https://www.steam-gamers.net/forum/showthread.php?t=87582 Going to leave this open though in case @Exk has different thoughts from @tides.
  24. !calladmin serves that exact purpose. If someone is RDM'd a report gets sent to Discord so it can be dealt with. If an admin is online then the admin is notified in chat. I don't really think we need this command - in fact, !fk on JB can probably be removed since it's redundant at this point.
  25. This is your answer @TEDDY - thanks for your concern. It's valid to be frustrated when there aren't as many admins on as you'd like, but there are other avenues of getting rule breakers off the server that Fuze mentioned above. Locking this thread as the concerns were addressed and the thread has gotten out of hand.
