  14. I haven't come to a decision on where I stand regarding this topic yet but I'll throw out a few things. On one hand, our JB server is unique in that someone who's able to play CT is able to give orders and thus determine where the round goes. On the other hand, we often get CTs fighting over which of many orders should be the one Ts follow. I'm not for it if the community's not for it...
  15. As annoying as it may be, having a mic should definitely not be required to play on CT. It's hardly even a problem at all as most chat orders are just ignored and mic orders are followed instead. Throughout all my time on JB, I've only witnessed chat order problems 3 or 4 times. Like @Error said, even if a CT is only giving chat orders, they usually understand that T's won't see it a few times, and so they re type it a few times. It's a completely different story when a CT decides to make one order in chat and enforce it even though none of the T's saw it. This is the chat order problem I mentioned earlier I'd seen about 3 or 4 times. This can cause confusion and can lead to a bunch of freekills. TLDR; chat orders are fine as long as CTs make sure T's can see the order. It allows our server to include people who don't have mics on CT...

  18. Bad bad bad idea. JB is mic spammy enough with the alive players. As an admin I’d rather not have to control alive and dead players, but that’s just my opinion. Keep the dead players muted on both servers would be optimal.
  19. I get the fact that people like it, but a 24/7 server of close quarters would be horrendous. People would get tired of playing the same map every single minute and the server would be absolutely barren. Also if we did this for TTT everyone would be asking for 24/7 servers of a map on their respective server... 24/7 viking warfare? @Cept For Her @ThRza
  20. Update: I’ve pretty much decided I’m gonna go with the rx 5700 xt. Ray Tracing is cool but it’s not at the point where it’s a game changer. The raw performance of a rx 5700 xt rivals a 2070 super for the same price as a 2060 super. Now I have to play the waiting game as custom cards have only just started to come out, and are selling out fast... Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
  21. You’re absolutely right now that I’m thinking about it. CA alone would only need about 3 or 4 people and there would be little to do. Maybe if we had laid out like A to SA to SR to SR + CA? I’m on my phone at the moment so I can’t really draw a chart but it would be similar to how AT and IA are. There are exceptions, but commonly people get AT then IA. The “CA” rank could simply be an add on to SR and could better identify people who are candidates for AT. This would however require people who want CA to first get SR, and they would have to play the servers. People who just want SR though, are able to play the servers while not necessarily moderate and be super active on the forums...
