First up we're bringing some new energy to the Streamer rank thanks to some old staff members looking to put some more SG commendations on their resume. I don't have to give either of these guys much of an intro because I'm sure they'll do a great job of doing that themselves...shortly...on a stream...that you should watch. Please join me back in welcoming the one and only Bright and YA BOI Strayyz to the stream team! Their responsibilities will include: Streaming on the SG Twitch weekly Administrating Twitch chat Helping grow our Twitch following Work with the marketing team on promotional events Come up with ways to improve the Twitch channel Thanking the fuck out of me for promoting them Next we have someone who has been an admin for a while now and has been putting in solid work proving to us that he's ready for more. This event is all wrapped up, and while there really weren't many participants it was fun to do and we'll probably look to repeat it again next year. A total of $245 was contributed for this event, however many people opted to not get gifts, resulting in the people who were left getting pretty nice Christmas gifts! Thanks to all who contributed, any extra funds will be used for future giveaways, prizes, etc. Gifts given out: John - hardspace shipbreaker and zero hour. Also donated part of his would-be gift to a rust giveaway. what a guy. It's 12 AM and @fantasticmessages me saying he completely forgot to do promotions because he had a hot date with twins or something, so here we are. Is it a Thursday promotion or a Friday promotion? who knows...I just didn't feel like waiting till tomorrow. The first person on our list is a guy who has been making quite a splash in the community lately and we're confident he'll keep doing great things with these new roles. Now we had a bit of a problem with this promotion as there are two managers (honestly probably more) who want you on their team, and they seem like they're willing to fight for it! So for the sake of our sanity and everyone's safety, on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday Nate. will perform his Media Team duties and on Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday Nate. will perform his Marketing Team duties. Wednesdays are for whatever else. His responsibilities will include: Manage all third party sites/applications. Manage all advertising, sponsorships, and affiliations. Recommend upgrades and general marketing aspects for the community. Research what the community likes / doesn't like. Upkeep the image of SG and help expand. Work with the Media Team to manage branding and community design. Work with Media team to manage social media accounts (Youtube, Twitch, etc). AND Manage forum and community website themes and layouts Manage all forum and community images (awards, rankbars, etc) Manage forum design sections (signature/avatar requests, etc) Work with Marketing team to manage branding and community logos/external advertising Work with Game Divisions to keep in-game branding and design (map textures for SG) up to date and relevant Work with Marketing team to manage social media accounts (Youtube, Twitch, etc) Next we have someone who has been on the long road to recovery and removal of retardation from his brain after getting hit in the head too many times as a young teenager. He has proven time and time again that he is willing to put in maximum effort in this community with anything he's working on. He has been a great motivator for me and many others in the community and we on the board think it's time he took on a rank worthy of his efforts. Hey folks! In the spirit of Christmas and the winter season we are hosting a new community wide event to promote a positive way you can give back to your fellow gamers. Starting immediately you'll be able to use the link below to donate money towards this event, with the minimum amount you can donate being $10. Now comes the fun part, sometime between 12/17 to 12/31 anyone who donated money will receive a gifted game on steam of a same or higher value than what they donated up to a $30 max. This isn't to say you might not get let's say a $40 or even $50 gift if you're lucky, but we are only guaranteeing we will use up to $30 in donations per person towards gifts. So it's pretty simple, click the link below to donate between $10 and $30 to this event and receive a steam gift between now and the end of the year. If you'd like to donate more than $30 to help fund bigger gifts for everyone then you are welcome to do so. If you want to donate money and you do not want to receive a gift please DM me on discord saying so.
