  4. The general consensus: You're the only one who can really say. Which do you think you will get more out of?

  10. No problem, I knew you weren't shaming anybody. As for the model, I was actually thinking the same thing as a 50 day reward instead of the forum award. I was even going to suggest it but the only problem is that I think in order for that to happen, the AO's would have to make a completely new rank on the servers for players with 50+ days so they can wear it in game (don't quote me on that), and then they also have to add an additional item to the shop which the higher ups have been resistant to in the past (increased download size).
  11. This argument is completely ridiculous. The entire point of these time achievements is to award players for returning to our servers time and time again. We should be extremely grateful to have such active players, not telling them they have no life and they to go outside lol. You say for normal people it is completely unobtainable, and quite frankly 30 days is in that same ballpark. 720 hours (30 days) is insane for a single server as well but we have the award because we appreciate they dedicate so much time to SG. In addition to this, 1648 hours is 70 DAYS ON ONE GAME. Again, that is an absurd amount of time to play a game for, and what if they just so happened to play the game for a very select few servers and never play comp? Someone with your game time could easily rack up 15 days on a couple servers and maybe even a 30 day award if that server is the majority of their play time. Who are you to tell someone where to spend there time? The problem with your argument is that it is 100% relative/subjective. What about people who choose to spend their time around music, collecting something, developing, or literally any other hobby. You don't think they have ridiculous amounts of time in those areas of their life? If someone just so happens to put that time into gaming and they are a PC enthusiast then good for them. I mean shit, do you not spend a large portion of your time on SG, on the computer? Someone who wasn't into technology would call you ridiculous for how much time you spend on the internet and talking to people you have never met in real life. Who are you to dictate where they spend their time? If there are literally no downsides what's the problem? Again, it being "overboard" is completely relative to YOU. We should happily thank players for choosing to spend an above and beyond amount of time on SG. You also make the argument that we should have awards that are achievable by most people, in which case what would be the point of having the achievements if most people can obtain it? It makes the award completely weightless if everyone has it.
  12. how lol
  13. I would recommend if you are going for more of a budget cooler like the 212 evo, you should give some of the alternatives a look too. A lot of people see the 212 Evo as the go-to since it reigned champion for so long, however there have been new coolers since that prove to provide equal performance, if not better, for the same price or even a bit cheaper. I think I remember looking at the Cryorig H7 as being one of these CPU coolers and in benchmarks it out-performed the 212 Evo by a few degrees and was even slightly quieter. While a few degrees might not sound like much, if you going to try to push your overclock it could make a difference. Besides, it's free performance given the cost is identical. You should of course, however, do your own research as I am not as familiar with budget CPU coolers. Just realized I'm about 25 days late RIP
  14. Acer's new upcoming monitor, the Predator X27 is supposed to be the god of monitors supporting 4k, 144hz and g-sync (though it probably is going to cost like $2k lul). Unfortunately however, it has no release date as of now so if by the time you have your computer and there still isn't a release date, I would say the ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR is an excellent choice: 2k @144hz (overclockable to 165hz) 1ms g-sync monitor. Both of these monitors are 27" BTW. Anothern solid 2k 144hz monitor would be the Acer Predator XB271HU bmiprz and has a bit more of a "gaming look" to it if you care about that. However this monitor does not overclock to 165hz and is a bit more expensive. The ROG Swift also has about 500 more reviews but with a 4.0 rating on Amazon unlike the Predator @ 4.2. Personally I would go with the Asus monitor if I had to choose between the two, but I'm just trying to give you some choices to look at. Note: I have not Personally tried any of these monitors for myself. As for the RAM, 64gb is a bit unnecessary as you could save like $300-400 going with 4x8 (which is plenty) instead of 4x16 (@ 3600 MHz) lol. Moving onto storage, what are you looking for? I'm assuming you will want some ssd space, but are you wanting to go with a single ssd + massive HDD or would you rather run ONLY SSD? With how overkill your system is going to be, why not run a few , lmao... Last thing, you should include the motherboard in your list
  15. @R3TROATTACK
