anyone else start cutting for the summer? i just jumped back on keto the other day, got up to about 206 during the winter (wasn't really trying to do much of anything tbh, i was out of the workout-game for a few months). I think now I'm going to drop to 185 minimum, and pooooooosibly lower, but we'll see

We have, however, decided to revert Gumline's perm to a day ban (now expired). While there is merit for punishment, it seems silly to get a perm over this. Yes, there was history, but we discussed that it was a long time ago, and he served as an admin honorably and without any issues whatsoever - therefore, the next ban will be a perm.

I loved having it. The only negative about it imo was you can’t move your modem around without having them come out and set up a new point (at least for me anyways). As far as ping goes - not really. It may lower your ping, but not by much, if any. Installing FO doesnt change the round trip time really: what would is if we moved the server location closer. My ping changed by virtually nothing when i went to FO. I’ve been playing SG for over ten years now and have consistently always had a ping of around 100. It is what it is.

Minecraft has been tried over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again by multiple different people, with multiple different game modes, during multiple different time frames. Minecraft. Does. Not. Work. For. SG. It's a waste of resources, as it has been proven time and time again. The people who worked on MC busted their ass from what I read and from talking to the players at the time - it simply does not work out with SG. I will not allow SG funds be used towards Minecraft, without establishing some sort of player base and a minimum of 6 month server consistency for me to even consider taking over server payments for it. @Third has kindly offered to use some of his server space to host it, which I am fine with. Third is approved to use SG name, logo, rules, a forum spot here, etc. He is also completely and entirely in charge of it and promoting who you want to help you manage / administrate it. So suggestion is both approved and denied, I suppose.

To add onto this: There’s some sort of disconnect for what abuse actually is. While there’s an argument to be made for ‘they’re abusing their abilities to speak while dead’, I think that it’s not completely out of this world to play devil’s advocate and understand that some may see it as a perk to being admin. Obviously, talking over orders or something like that disrupts gameplay and can be handled as such, but even something like them commentating (ie “oh damn! Nice shot!”) occasionally would hardly be classified as abuse, imo. I don’t think that a situation like this would ever even need to see an admin complaint - I think that by addressing an issue directly by asking them to stop talking because you can’t hear the orders or something would be the end of that. Tbh if I saw a complaint on something like that, and the complainer never even asked the admin to stop, I’d probably reject the complaint. Situations can (and should) be handled at the lowest level possible.

I've been asked a couple times and I just want to clarify: this has nothing to do with SG, it's a basic python 101 class more or less. I just don't have the time or the desire to actually learn it. but it's like extremely, extremely basic coding.
