  1. Hello everyone, The Board has been discussing possibly changing the names of our ranks for some time now. We have some ideas of our own that we'll be presenting below for you to comment on, but we'd also like for you guys to give us new ideas. You can disagree with a change, bring up an alternative, comment on a rank not stated here, etc. Now is the time to do it all. The name list we've come up with is as follows: President -> President Vice President -> Vice President Board of Directors -> Directors Internal Affairs -> Internal Affairs Administrative Manager -> Lead Manager Administrative Team - Server Manager Technical Manager -> Technical Manager Technical Team -> Technical Administrator Junior Technical Administrator -> Junior Technical Administrator Events Manager -> Lead Coordinator Events Team -> Event Coordinator Media Manager -> Lead Designer Media Team -> Designers Modding Manager -> Lead Mapper Modding Team -> Mapper Lead Advisor -> Lead Advisor Community Advisor -> Community Advisor Senior Administrator -> Senior Administrator Administrator -> Administrator Legend -> Legend Please feel free to comment on any of this - just stay on the topic of rank names and don't go off track onto something else.
  2. The suggestion for this (when it came up at the CA level) was much more than just a simple change. It was suggested that it should change somewhat frequently, with the possible addition of a credit multiplier on the featured server. (CA+ correct me if I’m wrong on the details) It was definitely more than a simple quick switch though. We can definitely switch it right now, there’s just no rhyme or reason to switch it to anything else currently. Actually, it sort of makes sense that it’s ZE currently, given what state it’s in. Nonetheless, if we go through with the more complex idea (which I like personally) it’d be waiting until the new forums. Going to lock this.
  3. Hello everyone, We have some exciting promotions today! First, we have a new rank to announce. We're introducing a new manager role which will be taking over management of the CAs - Lead Advisor! This person will have the same responsibility set as a CA, with the addition of overseeing the CA team. The first incumbent of this rank will work with us to shape the role, which is why we're very confident with the person we've selected. Please welcome roux into his new role! Now onto some other promotions. First, to the Events Team, we're promoting bat! His new responsibilities will include: Organize, plan, and run events Manage/Promote special events on our servers Manage and monitor gaming tournaments (ie. SGSL) Make sure servers are ready for all special events Schedule events to fill servers in need via the steam community Work with the Administrative Team to create events that cater to community interests Next, to the Modding Team, our newest addition will be Noxstar! His new responsibilities will include: Work with the Administrative Team to find and fix errors and exploits found in maps, models, textures, etc. Creating and developing projects for the servers including maps, models, textures, etc. Arming requested maps for use on the servers. Porting popular maps and models from other games to CS:GO for use on the servers. Work with the Media Team to develop graphics for completed projects. Work with the Administrative Team and Events Team for the production of event based projects. Lastly, we have two new members of the Administrative Team! These two people have been putting in an insane amount of work in their current ranks and we're excited to see what they do in their new ones. Please welcome Dong and ThRza as our two newest additions to the team! Their new responsibilities will include: Verify that servers are operational Reboot dead/lagged servers Assist in training new admins Monitor the Teamspeak 3 server Grant access rights to Teamspeak 3 Search for new maps for all servers Upload maps to the servers and fast downloads site Edit map lists & rotations Congratulations!

  11. Light7 (or just Light) has been permanently banned. Not only does he have 4 bans prior to his recent unban, he also earned himself another infraction on top of those recently, which has also gone on his record. Additionally, he expressed his interest in another community in Shoutbox.. ..so we sent him back.
  12. Hello everyone, We have some promotions to announce today, but first we want to send someone off. Wawa is no longer a member of the Board of Directors. Unfortunately, most of his time has been consumed by real life affairs, which we completely respect. Wawa has been here for an extremely long time as a higher up and has put in a tremendous amount of work. The time and effort he has poured into this place has not gone unnoticed and we are very grateful. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. Now, getting into the promotions. First, to the Events Team, we have a returning member. Bacon will be our newest addition to the team! His new responsibilities will include: Organize, plan, and run events Manage/Promote special events on our servers Manage and monitor gaming tournaments (ie. SGSL) Make sure servers are ready for all special events Schedule events to fill servers in need via the steam community Work with the Administrative Team to create events that cater to community interests Next up, we have some new Community Advisors. These people have been putting in a ton of effort in their current roles and are now moving up the ladder. Joining the rank, we have jim, snowy, and John! Their new responsibilities will include: Work with the higher staff on implementing important decisions and projects Handling player complaints and issuing bans Moderation of the forum Give awards to members on request Send group invitations to members on request Post in-game server problems on the forum Help in any way to make the servers fun Handle reported posts on the forum Lastly, we have some new members of the Administrative Team. Moving up we have Polarzz, Military_king, Strayyz and idealist! All four of these people have been doing a bunch of work as CAs and we are confident that they will be do great in their new roles.   22. Hello everyone, Today we are making admin complaints public in the interest of transparency. The higher ups have discussed this and decided there's no real reason to keep them private anymore. However, the complaints you now have access to only date back about 6 months. This is because there may be information in older complaints that shouldn't be public. From now on, all new complaints that get made will be public. This does not mean you guys will be able to post in them though, that will still be restricted to anyone who is Admin or above and the person who posted the complaint. This leads us into another change regarding admin complaints. For quite a while now, we've had a policy in place regarding banned players making admin complaints, this policy stated: This has been removed entirely. It doesn't make much sense at all because we recognize that someone may think their ban is justified, but may think the admin handled it incorrectly. We will not instantly reject a complaint because someone is banned. In any case, we will listen to what you have to say about our admins and will act on it as we see fit. Lastly, we've removed the [Noproof] and [Expired] tags from their respective sections. The [Noproof] tag was just useless, but the [Expired] tag wasn't right for us to use. If someone appeals their ban and their ban expires, we will continue to review the ban to determine if it was unjust, as opposed to just slapping this tag on it and closing it. A ban could be 3 hours, 3 days, 3 weeks, etc. but if the higher ups take too long to review it to the point that it expires, we will no longer push it to the side. We believe these three changes are steps in the right direction.
