I don't prefer Discord to TeamSpeak for various reasons technical reasons (IP bans, permissions, reliability) but I do however know that the CS:GO generation of kids we're at right now see TeamSpeak as a clunky dinosaur age software. In the past year or so Discord has got increasingly more popular, and it's not really showing signs of stopping. Among SG lots of little friend groups create their own Discord's as a little friend hub, which to me is most of the time obnoxious, but atleast we know that lots of our community uses it. I think our main target audience for getting a Discord is the kids who have Discord downloaded, but not TeamSpeak. Everytime someone on Jailbreak asks for our VOIP they always ask for Discord- not teamspeak, and many of these times I give them the TeamSpeak IP address they literally ask "why not discord". I could see people saying it would steal players off of TeamSpeak to Discord but in complete honesty from what I've seen on our servers it's hurting our community more by not having it. A bunch of the other major communities have both Discord and TeamSpeak. I support getting a Discord server.

I like the old map better tbh, way too much clutter, too many different building types, confusing terrain, bad vehicle spawns consistently. The old map has its issues, but I feel like they went way too far in the other direction with Miramar. The good parts is that the loot is fairly good, the drops in big cities are more fun, tends to be more action, and more cover around the map cause of the terrain. As far as the Miramar specific content the new weapons are pretty awful, and the van feels fucking useless. I feel like the new map is meant to be played in third person sometimes cause of how fucked you can get from so many angles.

I don't see a problem with this though I think it could end disastrously for your teammates if he kills you before you can call KOS.

You're not supposed to use Family and Friends for actual transactions where a good/service is being used. If you do that it's not documented properly and one person can refund as matt stated. I recommend no one does this transaction, it's very sketchy- I also recommend you don't give someone $230 dollars over PayPal if you're underage unless they're actual family. PayPal could end up asking for your ID and when you can't give them one that matches up with the details on your acc they will lock your account with the money on it.

I really enjoyed old ArmA 2 DayZ as the purpose wasn't always to KOS, but I'd say as far as Standalone vs. PUBG it's pretty clear which game is better. Standalone requires you to run around with melee weapon's 85% of the time, PUBG gets back to what is good about old DayZ in the fact that it keeps its pace pretty well besides traveling/looting.

I really connected with this video. Pretty much explains why ArmA 2: DayZ, ArmA 3: DayZ (Epoch, Exile, Desolation) players like myself have transferred to PUBG at this point. It also explains why games like H1Z1 have moved away from survival opting to completely rebrand their game around Battle Royal. I look forward to a good survival game in the future that balances fun and survival aspects, but it really looks like it's gonna be a long time before it happens. PUBG is as close as I've ever gotten back to the ArmA 2: DayZ feeling of awesome combat encounters mixed with periods of looting & strategy.

This is not allowed and if someone is doing it post a player complaint with sufficient proof (a recording at best). People have doing this as a way to harassment for awhile now and I for one harshly punish for it. Feel free to also call me in if you are having this problem on a consistent basis.

I think it makes a massive difference in terms of freedom. I've been in many, many situations where it has let me get the drop on people whether it was them vaulting in a stupid way or me vaulting out of nowhere spraying a group down. I thought I would despise it as a mechanic but honestly besides accidentally vaulting at the crates it's extremely useful.

It's pretty fucking terribly thought out that we have our own special definition of what a "catwalk" is rather than just having catwalks that connect to armory being KOS. People still call them catwalks, literally the order "no ladders, no catwalks" is still pretty widely used so I'm fairly sure we could go in and reword the sentence in "What is Rebelling" then in the Clarifications (which I don't understand why clarification isn't just the FAQ) reword the Catwalks section. To tag along, it makes no sense to me that we have the clarifications post under the rules- even knowing it's there sometimes myself I forget when I'm double checking something. I've seen countless times where someone will gun a Prisoner down for being on a catwalk because they're KOS, then being like "isn't this a catwalk?". Then I, as the admin have to explain how the "Catwalks are defined as solid walking platforms that connect directly to the armory. If something looks like a catwalk, but doesn't connect to the armory, then it isn't one." Unless defining all of them as catwalks is some way to avoid some issue I am missing, can we get these few changes for more clarity? @Nimmy @delirium @Jake

I felt like him and Trick2g were the straight-up pioneers of this "persona" age streaming that was made for both innovative entertainment and good gameplay. Very few streamers are able to do what they do without constantly coming off corny or as if they're trying too hard. I think this needs to be also said though, I have very little sympathy for him. He had so much going for him, literally was on top of the world and decided to fuck it all up. Cheating plain and simple is one of the things that I think is most fucking terrible. Cheating when you have a wife and kids is absolutely awful, as someone who has personal experience with it hurting my life it's a thousand times worse. As a streamer I thought he was fantastic, but now I will likely not watch him again- definitely not subscribing to the guy again. I don't see him being able to stream without getting fucked by trolls now, and he's likely going to lose a large portion of his viewers to others.

Audio Technica AT2020, Blue Snowball, Blue Yeti, ModMic (4 or 5) are all within your range I believe. I'm completely against buying a headphones and microphone together (headset) unless you're looking to wander throughout your house with a wireless headset, which down to battery life and general shitty capability I think is not quite there yet.

To be honest? When mining is dead, hype dies and a better cryptocurrency takes popularity by being more versatile. This is already all happening as I type this, but I'd say that the "bubble" (don't even know if you can say BTC has a bubble) will pop sometime in roughly 2 years. Some very smart people claim BTC will increase to insane numbers, but honestly it makes it look like they're saying crazy shit like that in their own self interest. While I see the merit in your idea, I think this would cause more harm than good. Players aren't entitled to anything when they're freekilled. If we were to "enforce" a rule like this then what would the point of admins be? Our admins are going to slay someone for freekilling then not slaying? Generally it's polite to slay, give a freeday, or a simple apology but I don't see the purpose of adding this. If someone is breaking rules people should just be reporting them, and when the CA reviews it they'll decide based of the offense, attitude, etc.. what punishment we'll hand out. I feel like this would cause more entitled kids screaming that someone should slay rather than letting an admin handle the situation, as already is a problem currently. This is completely false. CT's are not REQUIRED to give freedays, they CAN give a freeday for whatever they want. They don't have to give it if they freekill, not if the ratio is bad, and definitely not if it's the first day. Same goes If I freekill you. I don't have to slay myself. I can tell you to eat a bag of dicks, same goes for giving players a freeday. If it's not said anywhere in the FAQ or Rules, it is not a rule- simple as that.
