Just an FYI, this game is NOT FREE TO PLAY ANYMORE (https://www.blankmediagames.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=92848). I made it clear of that when i hosted the last event. Its a $5 game to play now, however I can promise anyone that it is worth the $5 for an event with friends as fun is had all around, messing about, getting mad at people, and overall having a good time. As ned said, you can probably expect an event on this coming up soon, as it has been a while

Is the only issue with these skips the fact that people cant use it because of the new timer and the zones capping their speed at certain points, or was it a csgo change that no longer allows these to be possible? If its the first issue, its probably possible to make it so players above 400 speed or so dont get their speed capped at 350, so this issue could be fixed. If its the latter, then itd probably be best to at the least reset the WR times on those maps so its plausible for people to beat them

I think more of the issue with surf records is with the addition of the new timer, it can cap your speed while going through checkpoints. I would say either fixing it to make this not happen, or resetting the times to make it a fair competition would be a reasonable thing to do

Admins would host/run the event by using admin extensions for the map, monitoring the server, enforcing the server and event rules. For ZE, anyone can and is allowed to lead a map, especially during a tryhard event. Usually during ZE tryhard events we tell people to not talk over the leader and to listen to them, and we would like to encourage anyone who is willing and can, to lead that map successfully

Even without paytowin items on minecraft, there is a lot more that can be implemented as perks on the server such as hats, pets, disguises, chat colors/names, and small kits that aren't a pay to win aspect like a kit that gives you materials like logs, or iron wouldnt be too OP. Id say implementing a vote system early on is going to be one of the best things for the server, as well as adding in perks for those who are VIP/Sub if we're still looking to integrate into the Steam-Gamers ranks, as well as purchase-able tiers for factions that give you special gear once every like 2-3 days or so

Have you tried installing optifine and disabling a lot of options? Tends to help out a lot on lower end lcomputers, although connection issues ultimately come to your internet and the server host Personally I cant make this event, but I hope you guys will have fun and care more about the memes than winning the gamemode!

Issue with making Ts immune is that it can easily give away a Ts role, if they walk through it and theres people around them. Pretty sure there was another thread on disabling damage to Traitors for trip mines, but that argument came up about giving away roles

Just curious that if this were to happen, what plugins would you guys want, and what could we do in order to keep interest in you playing?

do you know what the exact number of maps the server is saying it has on it? I may have found the issue if the map total is 698 on the server. if its 694 also, then I may know another reason it is broken. seems to be two map cycles on the server. the one that appears to be not in use is registering 351 maps while the one in use has 347 maps from what i found. fix may be as simple as renaming one of the two files, if that doesnt break the server

Dont think this would be hard to do, but I think this may cause unnecessary lag on the server calculating/displaying the points everytime they change. @Agent Wesker would know more about how the plugin works, but its not a bad suggestion, just may not happen for a little while

Would be possible to make a plugin that grabs a random number and if that number is equal to say 1, then it would execute a command to set credits to 2x for the store. Might be useful for every server during late nights honestly and is a nice little gamble imo. Hard and Extreme are already disabled during those hours due to the playercount needed to be at a certain number. Hard I think is 20, so it could be reached, but I dont see much reason to disable it unless it kills the server during late night while people are choosing it. Dust 2 broke with panorama update (thanks valve for precache issues ), although adding in random maps was an idea Ive had for a while about doing for something like weekdays tuesday thursday The knife only thing I dont understand how that would even work, just seems like a hassle and not worth the time to code I would like keeping nominations especially during those late hours so people can play the maps they want to during late night. The server hard resets at 5am, so all nominations are cleared for the next day in the Recently Played pool. The little collectible idea I really like the thought of, making it so you get a little rank based thing for completing certain challenges, ie. Win x rounds on "mapname" map. And when you reach a certain amount of "points/credits or whatever", you gain a little bonus something for bragging rights or whatnot. The forum-store-credit box thing would be more of a server-wide thing to happen, and I personally dont see it ever happening as it would be too annoying to implement and 1-15 credits isnt much to gain anyway.
